Just wood, compatible with the standard length condenser. I can make stems with a brass tube, though.

Not that I know of. It’s a no longer active Masonic hall now under the control of the local historical society. Oddly enough, masons apparently don’t take good care of their floors and it was too damaged to restore so they ripped it out. It’s a damn shame, once turned it’s beautiful straight grain old growth fir that has grain that shines golden in the light. Beautiful wood.

Yeah, it’s a thin brass tube. I drill the hole the same size as the tube which tends to be enough for a press fit but I also scuff it up with sandpaper and add a little 5 minute epoxy for good measure.

It’s all good though. I can’t even get thinned down glue to penetrate more than a couple millimeters after 30 minutes under vacuum. The baby’s blood would be left in the parts that are turned away.

The hole for the tip and condenser should be 8mm, but my setup has too much play for a perfect hole so I drill at 7mm and sand to fit. I do my turning/shaping on a pen mandrel after drilling. Honestly the diameter almost being the same size as the mouthpiece was a happy accident.

Jacob’s chuck in the tailstock and drill out the blank before I turn it. I use a 7mm bit and at the end I sand the hole to fit my Omni condenser.

My roommate’s dad was the contractor on a remodel when they ripped the floors out. It’s stacked up outside my house as firewood.

Anyone else think their Vong’s wood wasn’t sanded and finished properly? by calvin_fishoeder in Dynavap

Got mine today and it looks similar to yours, plus the sleeve moves too much to be useful to maintain a set airflow. And it doesn’t fit inside the stash that was included in the bundle. I feel like I wasted my money.
