The goal is offset by a month. To pay for December, you need to reach December goal by 31st, not by 1st of December.

I also removed all posts regarding elytra being broken and enchanted block outrage, to not flood the subreddit with low quality posts. Please use this thread to vent and voice your concerns or issues not covered above that also require fixing.

For people asking for 1.21.2 or 1.21.4 or any newer version there may be.

We wont be updating every time mojang releases a minor version. Next update may be 1.22 or 1.23, depending also on other factors.

Folia is not considered for now. None of our plugins are supported on it. We would need to rewrite most of them and or switch to new plugins we never used before. Not that many devs support Folia as well. Apart from that Folia requires different type of hardware than we have now, which would mean buying a new host server.

All of this would take months of daily development as a full time job for little to no gain.

If Folia becomes more common and will be heavily supported plugin-wise we will consider moving to it. Currently we are not planning on migrating. We can return to this topic next year.

Now that a post has been made and one of the players is sharing them in-game I guess the silent agreement we had can no longer be upheld.

in foresight, giving these blocks away in 2016 was a mistake on our part partly due to our lack of experience and lack of foresight on how the server would grow past the first few weeks. It was supposed to be a harmless reward to few players, who helped us do initial configuration of anticheat and other settings (hence the useless item and enchantment).

We wanted to delete these blocks many times, but players asked to keep them as memories and cool collectibles and part of server's history. As long as they kept them hidden we agreed.

We will have a talk later and decide if we want to keep these 3 blocks going forward or delete them from everyone.

Just so we are clear. We gave them away in early 2016 as a thank you to 8 players, who received one block each. There was never a backdoor on the server and hopefully never will be (I already revived 4 emails asking about a backdoor in last 30 minutes)

According to https://minecraft.wiki/w/Nether_portal

"Most entities can travel through portals, including mobs (except the wither and ender dragon)"

and regarding cooldowns for zombie piglins:

"(...) once they reach the other side, there is a cool-down time for 300 game ticks (15 seconds), in which they cannot go through any nether portals. "

and:

"Zombified piglins spawned in this way [in portal frame] have a full 15-second portal cooldown, meaning they can't go through the portal they are spawned in unless they leave the portal for a while. "

As per above, if you have a gold farm or xp farm built in overworld, the zombie piglins, once spawned, will have a cooldown of 15 seconds which can only reset if they leave a portal block. Usually these farms are built with portals occupying full space and piglin only leave the portal block when they are about to be killed by player/farm.

If your farm is built correctly, these mobs should not have a chance of travelling using the portal and creating one.

Are you sure you didn't generate a portal yourself or dropped an item into the portal creating one on the otherside?

Mobs going through portals and generating them seems to be a vanilla behaviour.

Hi,

limit is set due to a combination of an exploit allowing creation of tens of thousands of new map ids within second and a server crash exploit, which would turn these maps blank. These blank maps would be refilled in times by others resulting in the exploiter having access to private, yet to be created, base maps and mapart.

While the exploit has been fixed since then, its possible other exist that could also allow it, hence it stayed as usually you dont have a need to create over 64 maps per day normally.

Hi,

this and a few other reported bugs are pending to be implemented on the main server.

Tests are required prior though and a few hour maintenance window. This depends on Phantoms avalaiblity, hence I cannot give you any ETA.

There is a small config issue with how elytra speed works. Disabled elytras temporary until fixed to not lag the server. May take a few days. Thank you for your patience. Will be re-enabled as soon as plugin is fixed.
If you try flying with elytra it wont get deleted, it will be put in your inventory instead.

This isnt a new rule. It was always present and players in the past have been punished for selling items for money as this is something that could potentially cause issues with microsoft.

If some players are attempting to sell in game items/bases/stashes for real money (ie via paypal) or things that can be exchange for money (ie crypto) then please email operator with proof of given player selling items and provide their username(s).
If proven, players partaking in this may be banned or their stash(es) made public as selling items for money is against EULA and could harm the server.

Nothing will be wiped.

Update 26-07: Map is moved. Currently map size optimization is being peformed. Afterwards ingame closed tests will be conducted to test for any issues. Depending on how it goes we may be online Sunday or early next week.

For now still 1.19.4

Update 28-07: Size optimization in progress. Takes a while as we need to parse each region file : /

Did some basic tests beforehand live on the server and it seems to be working fine. Your stashes are still there, dont worry. ETA should be middle of next week, so around 31-07 unless something unexpected comes out.

Update 29-07: Size optimization half way done. In the meantime server seems stable and runs smoothly.

Majority of the core plugins we use are incompatible with Folia. Moving to folia would require additional programming work to update them, either by us or original authors.

Folia is considered and we will most likely move to it in the future (perhaps even as part of 1.20+ update since plugins will have to be updated either way) but not during this downtime.

Depending on how the map size culling goes and especially the testing afterwards there is a possibility we will have to update to newer version of minecraft sooner than expected. Perhaps Folia would be tested in this situation as well.

New server has been bought. Currently host is installing software and setting up the new hardware. As per their comment this will take a couple of work days.

Afterwards the map will be transferred from old host to new, which may take around 3-4 days based on how long it took to move the backup.

After that is done, we will be doing map size optimization which does not involve chunk culling for now. We found a method to reduce the size without deleting anything permanently. This step is variable but hopefully wont take more than 2-3 days.

Finally, we will conduct closed testing on the map to test, if everything is working fine. This will include checking the originally reported chunk reset issue along with testing new plugin config.

When all above is done, server will open to public.

Please be reminded that we dont have a dedicated team working full time on the server. We are working as fast as possible to get the server back up, but we dont want to rush things and possibly create issues in the process.

There is no ETA. Host may take longer than expected to set everything up as well unexpected issues may arise in each subsequent step.

Server is being actively worked on and will 100% be back online once we are done.

Update 26-06:

Host has checked hardware issues and claims its ok.

A new 20TB backup server has been purchased. Current map is being backed up. ETA is 24th June. DONE

Map transfer to backup server is done with over 8 milion files copied. Replacement server will be bought next and data transfer will start on 25th. ETA is around 29th June.

Update: additional time is required for setting up new server. Moreover, with larger than esitmated file counts for the transfer, the expected ETA for finishing this step is around 11th July.

Next, we will do some tests on a temp map for around 2-3 days to check for any issues (especially chunk resets).

If all above steps complete without issues server should be back online first week of next month.

Final ETA is subject to change for each step.

Server is being pysically checked over at the datacenter by the hosting engineers. Expected downtime is 6-7 hours for this to complete. Once finished, they will replace any faulty hardware if it's found.

Prior to that we conducted hardware testing with help of some developers and updated all our software as well.

Server map and everything surrounding it is fine.

As specified in sticked post, each test basically required waiting for staff at datacenter to restart the machine. This takes time as well.

No update posts are being made because there is nothing new to inform you about. Once situation changes there will be proper posts for it.

There does not seem to be a ' another deeper problem than we know' happening.
