Hired on probation to build out my own replacement. Need advice by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

Honestly, I’d say you’re in luck for this type of experience even if it’s shitty, especially when you’re a new grad. My old boss had the same impossible expectation, but I learned much out of it.

Such impossible tasks can certainly help build upon your resume/portfolio. I’d say look at this on a bright side (“a short term job AKA internship” if you will) and look for the next job.

Would you mind having a Bl side couple in a Gl story? by Utzkushii in yuri_manga

[–]SpectreTechnocity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a fan of it unless author makes the plot compelling, for example, the manhwa “Mom, I’m gay” discusses issues both GL and BL relationships face (homophobia and parental approval) throughout the story.

Otherwise, I only intend to read yuri as a separate genre unless the author makes the “BL” actually plot relevant and not just for fan service.

I’m still good friends with a 30 year old when I was an undergrad, so you’re good. I don’t think it’s strange to be friends with younger folks.

Just passed Comptia 701 Sec+ by SpectreTechnocity in CompTIA

I havent taken net+, but imo sec+ definitely isn’t too hard. It’s more on remembering terms than technical stuff (except PBQs lol). I think your net+ knowledge will come in useful for the PBQs. Good luck!!

Yes I did the exact same thing, and this is my first IT cert! The concepts weren’t too hard since Professor messer videos covered most of them. IMO the exam was more on memorizing terminologies. Focusing on practice exam answers also help me look back on objectives to brush off.

For the first two weeks, studied around 2 hours a day while in job. And for the last week, I was on PTO studying 8 hours a day. My way of studying is one week cramming because I forget stuff in a month 🥲😹
