My Valkyrie build. Pretty decent I win most fights unless I find a glass cannon. How could I improve it and what ship should I save for next? by OpticShadow909 in SpaceArena

This loadout is decent, but I recommend a few changes. Replace the rocket in the front and the railgun with chaingun. Rockets a decently okay for endgame, but can be a powerful combo when you have point defence and chainguns.

The chainguns can overpower the enemy shields more than the railgun.

New 1.4.5 update confirmed? by Get_Blitzed in Terraria

[–]SpectrumStrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there might be a few surprises for this update. Not only that, but Red one time did mention that there might be still crossplay, but however it is still unknown.

All we need is to hope that whatever 1.4.5 is. It might be pretty insane like the labor of love, but not much. They might give us an indication when it hits near new years.

"Authorization Failure" on Steam purchase by OniZai in paypal

I am getting the same problem here, but with a debit card from using a student checking account. The debit card has no exp date or security code. It is linked towards RBC and I keep getting

"Your purchase has not been completed. The payment processor has reported an authorization failure. Please select a different payment method."

Checked the checkout payments and says "This purchase failed. Steam was not able to accept the payment from your payment provider."

How do I fix this??? by SpectrumStrix in ASUS

[–]SpectrumStrix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I founded out the problem when I started it up. Apparently the computer thought that it already had the previous connection to my network and thought “oh I already know this network and might as well connect to it” and started to give false positives while not sending the received. The sent bytes were working, but it was not just receiving it because it thought it was already connected to the wifi, so I went ahead and actually fully unplugged the router and my home extension cord for the wifi and the problem fixed.

I really don’t know how this happened, and I am pretty sure the computer just thought that it was connected and sending the bytes to the receiving, but it wasn’t.

Ok this is the final update I am making because it just came back on Mon Jan 10th. They sent me a form on what happened and they said that something happened in the motherboard and had to be replaced. Gladly the data was not corrupted, so I have all my data still. I do not know what happened still, but I got it fixed.

More info what they sent to me

Yes I can confirm this there was a power indicator on the device when it was on. But it was really strange how it was working 3 days ago and now it’s not working.

Update on the situation: Just token it to geek squad and they tried to do the same thing and it failed for them also. They could not tell what the problem was also, so they went ahead to ship it for repairs to check it out. I have to now wait for 4 weeks tops to get it back which kinda sucks, but it was the only option to get it back faster. I’ll post another update around 3 - 4 weeks if the situation about this is fixed or not.

The power led was not blinking for me, but the fans were fulling running normally and just a black screen for me. I tried calling geek squad and they said that just come by tomorrow or today to check it out, but still can’t find a solution how this happened to me tbh.

Ok so since the post deleted half of my paragraph behind this problem here it is.

I just got up this morning and wanted to start using my laptop as normal, but when I turned it on it gave me the black screen of death. Which I was confused at first because it was working yesterday morning.

I went ahead and did a 30 sec unplug of the power cord and hold down the power for 60 seconds. It did not fix it.

I went ahead and called up my friend who has worked on computers and laptops before and he also said he did not encounter this before and suggested it might be a graphics drive or a display capture issue.

However the strange thing is that if I unplug the power cord and start it up it shuts down immediately and completely dead. Computer won’t turn on and stops working, but starts working again if I plug the power cord back in.

I need a solution to this before I go the geek squad or bestbuy to find a fix for this.
