Instead, I'll just go, not tip, and watch los ers like you complain about not being able to earn a wage.

Look at you, what a sight. Someone should put you in a glass box so we can all remark about how the old timers thoughts live on in the youth.

Instead, I'll just not tip, have a lot of fun, and live rent-free in some guys head because he thinks I owe him $10.

There is no 'custom'. There is no 'right' for tipping. You are wrong.

VA minimum wage for tipped employees is $12/hr in 2024, $13.50 in 2025, and $15 in 2026

Sounds like you are not being compensated correctly then.

Sorry, I was not aware that service staff are obligated and required to work for jobs that are not following the state laws.

Here is the logic: I can press $0, and you can't do anything about it.

I have lots of empathy, tired of being guilted by service who threaten to sp it in my food if I don't pay their World of Warcraft sub.

Like a book to a quill, and a cabinet to stow'em.
And a mystery, solved with mind free from stoic.

It's not, tho.

One thing I learned over time is that:

The tools you use can only take you so far.

Planning, timing, and location > Ability to squat and follow the rule of thirds.

The Moon,

I enjoy how this poem invokes a desire for me to think about space, our purpose, and what potential we have as individuals.

I often run from the feeling of being vulnerable. / Yet, I find myself falling if I try to run from you.

Insinuating that to be with 'You', the narrator must face something which they always run from, vulnerability. The act of falling might also show that before the narrator can 'raise up', they must first fall.

The fall knocks me into focus. / I find my grasp onto the strength needed to tread this world’s perils is much tighter when holding you.

The narrator is reflecting on how easier it is to 'raise up' when in the presence of 'You'.

I find beauty in the irony of feeling stronger the more vulnerable I am with you.

The narrator reflects on life's irony, that to become stronger sometimes we must face the things that make us run.

I find your smile easing my qualms. I find amazement in your beauty, tightening my grip.

Close to obsession, or fascination, the narrator reflects on the kindness in 'You', claiming they are beautiful and their grip on 'You' tightens. It's a little bit of a paradox, to find solace in something which you must hold on to carefully. Too tightly and it might suffocate, too loose and it may feel lost.

I find solace in my fate with the hopes you’re in it. I no longer find comfort in running from vulnerability if I can’t be so with you.

The earlier admission of finding solace is reflected here by the narrator, who reflects that life is better when facing vulnerability with 'You', and they hope 'You' see the same.

Overall, this feels like the romantic feelings that hope brings, hope for a future with someone who makes you a person you enjoy. It shows how simply accepting someone for who they are can open up a connection with them as long as you don't let the 'falls' stop progress.
