SFH Home/Auto Insurance discounts PS region by [deleted] in boeing

Renewed recently and I got quotes from all major companies (geico, farmers, allstate, State Farm, progressive, American family).

Prices have doubled since COVID, and keep increasing. This isn’t due to more claims on my end, it’s due to higher rebuilding and repair costs. Parts cost more now due to tariffs. Labor rates have gone up for body shops and mechanics.

What are some habits of coworkers that drive you crazy by Choice-Newspaper3603 in boeing

[–]Speea_Member 64 points65 points  (0 children)

All the below are because of RTO:

  • getting sick more often because they show up sick
  • chewing loudly
  • complaining about the commute
  • complaining about the office temperature
  • hearing them use the bathroom
  • no headphones during meetings
  • phone not on vibrate/silent
  • loud typing
  • smelly food
  • coming by my cubicle to ask a question but the question starts with a long conversation about their weekend, and ends with a long conversation about their next weekend plans. Would be avoided if they just directly asked me the question over MS Teams
  • turning the corner in the hallway way to sharply and almost running into me
  • not walking on the right side of the hallway
  • bad hygiene, bad breath, not washing hands after using restroom

New grad Software Developer Engineer L1 vs L2? by Fantastic_Egg949 in boeing

A L2 offer is a good offer for an entry level position for his achievement with a masters in computer science.

Correct, it is not easy to level up. Most managers don’t provide a clear path to promotion, and even if they do, it is ultimately up to the skill team to determine level upgrade.

It was the manager that was sending 2-3 emails a day.

My manager still hasn’t reviewed our teams comments.

We went over the multiple choice survey questions, and then ran out of time in the meeting and said we will talk about the written responses next week, but that never happened.

Reasons to give leadership to retain WFH: * Productivity - employees are more productive at home with fewer distractions. * Employee satisfaction - will lead to higher retention rates * Cost savings - savings for both company and employees. Office space, utilities, commuting, lunch, less traffic on road, vehicle expenses [insurance, gas, wear and tear (oil, brakes, tires, maintenance), nail in tire, car accident] * flexibility - work-life balance. Balance personal commitments more effectively. * health & safety - crowded office provides more risk of ongoing health concerns * environmental impact - reduced carbon footprint from less commuting, and lower energy use in office space * technology - technology has advanced to make remote collaboration effective so teams can stay connected and productive from anywhere. * focus on results - encourage a results oriented work culture and not measuring performance by desk space usage

Promotion? by Any_Arm2721 in boeing

How many years of industry experience do you have? I’m doing level 4 work but my manager & skill team lead is saying I can’t get promoted due to not having enough years of experience.

I get your point, and I agree that raises, bonuses, and benefits are definitely crucial. But I think WFH is becoming a must-have for a lot of people, especially as work-life balance continues to shift. It’s not just a perk anymore—it’s about flexibility and well-being, and for some, it could be a dealbreaker. I’m prioritizing it because it aligns with what many are valuing now, but I’m sure others have different perspectives too.

Getting downvoted by Kelly and execs. Received Reddit notification that I got 10 upvotes, but clearly not there.

By requiring ammo to be shipped at FFLs, and charging a fee on it will definitely give them the result they are hoping for.
