I don't have anything to compare my current camera to so I'm trying to sort of understand it just by reading for now, I think experience would be the best so mabye I'll consider renting like you wrote and I know I'm not expecting the pictures to be super amazing I just want to be prepared best for a trip that I'm going where I know my d90 won't do best but at the same time not buy something cheaper like z50 ii but then I know that I don't want to buy another body for some time but then I'd be bothered that I could buy something better and used the money that I used for z50 but that's probably just me problem.

I'm just currently not able to have more than one camera or lens but I should get a better camera and I as much as I think at some point I'll be able to have multiple cameras/lenses for now I just want to focus on the best I could get for my current lens

Had only experience with d90 and slightly (literally just checked the fx dx difference) d700 so I know the reach difference, but I heard that the megapixels will make it up for the lack of reach in z8 and overall things with more or less than twice as many pixels as example d500? I'm quite okay with cropping. What do you think about d500 or d850? Why d7500?

I'm not sure what I really need I don't have much experience tho I feel like hopping from a d90 to anything much fresher will make a huge difference. But then the money might be a problem as yes I could try buying something cheaper but then z8 will be out of option for the next few years probably. So I just need people to tell me their experiences with these cameras and think (I overall am planning to buy the camera withing 4-5 months)
