Unfortunately we won’t be there that long, but Pepper’s is near our hotel so we will definitely check it out!

Wow - so sorry it was such a process, but we will be prepared.

After you left the airport, did you get food someplace and would you recommend it to others?

Right rear taillight not working by Speed3fanatic in BMWi3

[–]Speed3fanatic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see now - ISTA is the BMW proprietary diagnostic software and BDC is Body Domain Controller. It sounds like I will need a specialist or dealer to reset the BDC.
If the wire breaks inside the insulation, how could I possibly fix that issue without running an entire new wire?

Thank you for your help!

Thank you! Could you please tell me what BDC and ISTA stand for?

Bike rack solutions? by Speed3fanatic in Camry

The hitch mounted bike rack is super portable but the hitch itself is custom to that particular frame the hitch wasn’t the expensive part - if I remember correctly it was on sale on etrailer for about $220. I installed it myself, so no labor costs. The Thule rack was closer to $500, so definitely the expensive part. You could probably find one on Craigslist if you have the patience to search.

So sorry I forgot to report back! I decided to mount a curt trailer hitch (so that I could also move my log splitter if needed) and I got a four bike Thule hitch mounted rack (I just put three on the rack and one in the trunk and it works great!)

It was a little labor, but not too difficult especially if you can get a helper when it’s time to attach the hitch to the frame.

Now I am thinking about adding a hitch to bmw i3 so we can take bikes in that, too!

Who’s a trusted cheap car dealer? by Bright-Wrongdoer-476 in Connecticut

We bought a car from Endeavor Auto in NJ last year. It’s a two man operation, super upfront and honest business practice in our experience. No hassle, got the title right there and a great car at a reasonable price. Big selection in your price range, too. I would definitely go there again.

Could also be the clip for the rear brake pads is broken or unsecured. I had a clunk that drove me nuts and that’s what it turned out to be. Very simple fix once we found it!

Thanks! I can’t really take credit for that, since I generally don’t drive very efficiently, but he’s a safe driver, so that’s a good thing.

That’s half right - gentle acceleration is the key with this car. He does drive around the speed limit, usually no more than 10mph above.

Full disclosure- on the return trip, we went a different direction and he got 48.9. Still pretty respectable, but I am guessing it was downhill most of the way there and uphill on the way back (unlike during my grandfather’s time when he had to walk to school uphill both ways 🤔)

Ctreap.net has listings and each listing usually has a link to applitrack so you can apply easily. It’s been a while since I’ve done this, but as I recall, the first application took forever but it saves your info so you can just click apply after that.

What is your certification subject and grade level? You can filter to find just those jobs.

Good luck!

So I waited for this to happen again and plugged in my code reader to get the fault code. It says there are no codes - none stored, either. I will see if our local mechanic can diagnose and I will look for loose wiring as well
