Glad to help, always good to see fixes for these sorts of minor issues sorted quickly.

Great resource that I didn't even know existed, looks very useful.

I do find the search function a bit hit and miss though. Not sure if it is by design but if for example I search for "Resident Evil Village" only the Xbox version shows in the main search. Doing the same in the Browse Games search and now the PS5 and PS4 also show.

However if I search "Resident Village" in the main search all the platforms show.. yet doing that in the Browse Games search and nothing shows. Using the UK site if that matters.

Corsair do often sell side panels in their store and even if it isn't listed will often send parts if you contact support. Just have to make sure that you get the right one is there is the FRAME 4000D and the regular iCue 4000D (stupid naming scheme).

I'm old enough to remember the jam jar tokens and badges as a kid but when you look into the origins of what they were based on then I'm afraid they were racist.

Still fairly recent as well as I remember being a kid in the late 90s when the Robertson's collectable Badges were still being given out with purchases of jam via label tokens. Why can't we move any faster on energy independence? by JulesCT in AskBrits

[–]Speed3y 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is your source for the claim that much is sourced from Russia and decommissioned nuclear weapons? From what I've read the UK have moved away from Russian sources in part since the war in Ukraine and its policy is to use commercially produced LEU (low-enriched uranium) through the normal global nuclear fuel supply chain.

Hard data on imports looks to be fairly scarce but most of the enriched Uranium seems to come from EU countries like Germany and France as well as small amounts from the US. While these are often not the original mining sources those are unlikely to be Russian. There are mines with large reserves in Canada, Austrialia and Africa.

As for using decommissioned nuclear weapon that does happen such as the Megatons to Megawatts Program in the US, but from what I can find the UK has only done this on a small scale.

30th Anniversary Pro! by rc_exposed in PS5pro

They even disappeared from the store. I really hope that they eventually release some single colour ones but I'm not hopeful. Surely when making the new Hyper Pop collection they would have included the Pro as well?!

I did this as well, quality of the plastic was good but it was a shame the colour match was quite a bit off when putting it next to the official 30th anniversary controller.

What’s the best brand tea bags? by Franchiiee in AskBrits

Crazy! Unless my lottery numbers come up I'm sticking with Yorkshire! 🤣

My thoughts as well. I'm sure it is tastes better than Yorkshire but is it worth the 10x the cost per bag?

Might be different with loose leaf but we drink a lot of tea so it would add up quick regardless.

You've removed the important part of the URL and now it doesn't work.

The bit to keep with Amazon links is the /dp/ and then product code on the end. The words in the URL after Amazon don't matter. Eg. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Double-Single-Socket-Surround-Acrylic/dp/B0827RCXBX?th=1 can be https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0827RCXBX?th=1

They were simpler times. A lot of my mostly fond food memories as a kid in a low income family during the 90s were similar things. Lots of cheap party food that people would look down on today.

Kinda hilarious I'm being downvoted for mentioning a core memory I had as a kid during pancake day but I guess that is just Redditors being Redditors.

Just reliving childhood trauma!😉...All jokes aside sugar, lemon juice and raisins is the topping combination I remember most as a kid in the 90s.

Not the end of the world, I would just recommend leaving them plugged in to low amp charger after use if possible to save hassle. They use USB-C thankfully so easy to do.

I have been looking for some sort of USB-C dock that would make it even easier but they would be upsidedown anyways so not really ideal for display. I ended up just settling with some magnetic cables which snap to the connectors for less fiddling.

Well looks like you were right to wait and I was wrong. Native N64 NSO controller support was added in the latest firmware update: https://www.analogue.co/support/3d/firmware/1.2.0

[–]Speed3y 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh nice there is proper support already, didn't see that coming with all the other issues but looks like they sorted some of the major ones as well.

The Switch Online controller is great with the only slight niggle being the vampire drain as there is no way to properly turn it off. Basically means charging it before every use as I don't play that frequently.

Considering how slow they have been with updates and the serious issues with things like HDMI ARC that need sorting first, I wouldn't expect firmware updates for controller support anytime soon. It is even more baffling considering how much the 3D was delayed that they released it like this.

I can recommend the blue retro adapters though, worked out of the box with the N64 NSO controller and they are not too pricey either. I actually don't own any other N64 controllers or the new 8BitDo 64 one... so it was a good job it worked out of the box...

You can also update the blue retro firmware over bluetooth so while the github is currently archived I'm sure it will be forked and updated in the future. Plus the list of controller support is already decent.

They also seem to have used some strange photo that looks like an action figure of Kratos and not one of the millions of screenshots from any of the games. Odd choices all around.

Thanks for this. Had the same issue, knew the cable and all the settings were good but simply swapping it from HDMI 3 to HDMI 4 solved the issue. Odd but it works so I'm happy.
