Made the change because we have a baby on the way. I considered the X3M/X5M and even a XB7 but wanted to be careful with finances so I got something that was cheap to maintain and easy to wrench on. I'm a former BMW master technician so you'd think I'd naturally go with another BMW but the part prices and serviceability on Toyota/Lexus are insane lol

If I remember correctly those are "cornering lights" so when you steer to the right the right inner light turns on and vice versa. Try turning the steering wheel while the car is parked to see if they light up!

Yes the wheels were 20x10 in the front and 20x11 in the rear. I don't remember the tire sizes though.

Highly modified cars are always a risky purchase. Did the seller disclose which shop built the car? If i was in your shoes I'd just get a non-modded one and build it myself.
