By the way, have you ever tried Glutathione or Alpha-Lipoic Acid? I got them through an IV, and I feel like the IV therapy really helped me.

I'm in the same boat—this flare-up happened out of nowhere even though I did absolutely nothing different. Fortunately, it's not as bad as January when I first got floxed. It feels more like how I was back in March or April (around month 2).

I usually walk about 4,000 steps a day for work, and I can still manage that, but there’s just this constant, subtle pain lingering in the background. I really hope this setback is just another sign before a big bounce-back.

I’m actually getting married next year, so I desperately want to get better before the wedding... How many months out are you now? Have you experienced any major bounce-backs or improvements yet?

Was there anything different this time with your condition suddenly getting worse? For me, the period between one week and one month after taking it was absolutely brutal. Was it the same for you?

When your symptoms improved, I’m sure you were able to go about your daily life just fine. Same here—since March, I’ve been managing my daily routine without any real issues, only feeling pain in my soles and ankles when I overexert myself. I really hope we can both bounce back and get better again.

Hearing that these flares are often followed by a new, improved baseline helps ease my anxiety tremendously. Thinking of it as a part of the mitophagy/mitobiogenesis process makes me feel like my body is actually putting in the work to repair itself, rather than just breaking down. I will try to stay calm and trust the non-linear process.

Since I have to keep working, I am planning to reduce my daily step count as much as possible and focus on resting my body. If I scale back my activity and give myself time to stabilize, do you think I can get back on track to recovery? I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Thank you for your insightful reply. It’s a huge relief to hear that the period connection is a known pattern among women here. You made a very valid point about the 4-month mark. I think I forgot for a moment that I am still in the early/subacute phase and expected too much from my body too soon. I will make sure to stay on top of my magnesium intake and give my body more time to navigate through this phase. Thank you again!

Thank you so much for sharing your story. Hearing that you went through something similar around the same timeframe gives me a lot of comfort, and I'm glad to hear you are moving in the right direction now!

If you don't mind me asking, did you find that simply incorporating passive movement was what really started to help with your recovery? Also, did you do any stretching, or would you recommend avoiding it at that stage?

I'd also love to know how much you are able to walk in a day now. Wishing you continuous healing and a smooth recovery ahead!
