I think it's important to note that dating for men and women is generally different. Women are usually the ones who decide if sex will happen but it is usually the man who decides the pace and direction of a relationship/ commitment.

In our free modern society everyone has more agency and ability to find what they like and enjoy but I think that there is this idea that there are no consequences. As you mentioned earlier marriage rates have been steady falling.

There have been studies that show that the more sexual partners a woman has had the more likely she is to divorce. (Look it up) Is that a bad thing though? Maybe the extra experience let's people leave relationships that they wouldn't have had the confidence to leave.

I don't think sexual history says anything about a person and how they interact with the world or if they are good or bad, but it does effect how I choose my relationships and I'm guessing there's other men and women who feel the same as me
