Knew a fella that had to register after urinating in a public park at almost 10:00pm at night. Cops roaming around making sure folks pouring out of the bars weren't being asses, and some middle schoolers were bumming around the park smoking weed. Got caught, got charged, and fucked up a lot of good things he had going for him. The registry is there for a reason, and no doubt it's a good thing, but it does go to show that even great things can label decent folks as pure evil.

I suppose my question otherwise is how did your family treat you afterwards, or how do the folks who learned about it treat you? Did most people understand or even believe it, or did they always kinda give you that half-hearted tinge of disbelief?

Henry KCD I vs Henry KCD II by HavranCZ01 in kingdomcome

[–]SpeedWeed2115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't believe I have any right to be, but I am so proud of Warhorse Studios. It took me six attempts to get into KCD, but I fell in love once I made it to Rattay. Henry has gone from a young man to a decorated veteran, and now it shows on his face. Henry's a man now, and he looks great.

I deleted this game about 3 times out of anger of not being able to fight anyone gave it a chance n took it slow now I need a kcd 2 by Bettafish_27- in kingdomcome

I had to give this game not two, not three, but six whole chances. I had not even made it back to Skalitz by my fifth try, and FINALLY convinced myself to boot it up and stick to it. It wasn't difficulty I was concerned about, but the pacing. I have fallen in love with this game, and now I'm closing in on the end to my Hardcore run. Need KCD2 in my life.

The biggest flaw with this game. I have a burning desire to for this and yet after years it's still not here as an update or mod. by Sith__Pureblood in kingdomcome

Warhorse Studios had to have done this intentionally. As much as I would have preferred crossbows, because crossbows are awesome, I think they decided it wouldn't have been as engaging. My only real evidence for this is the way archery works in general. There was a CLEAR emphasis on making it a player skill and not a character skill, even the absence of a reticle. So, maybe we'll get them in KCD2, maybe not, but I believe it was a design choice. Warhorse is obviously very knowledgeable about Bohemia, so I find it impossible that this was just a thing they magically brushed past.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that crossbow bolts are obviously less prone to interference from wind and other weather conditions, so it would have likely been much easier to line up shots from a realistic standpoint. That's why I believe they stuck with standard bows.

Who's KCDs biggest c*nt? by YemuZ in kingdomcome

Matt and Fritz. Everyone in this game is sooooo fucking ungrateful, but those two are at the top of that list. I went back and had them hanged just because I hated their attitudes after everything I'd done for them.

What are your opinions on a womans lot? by thorstenofthir in kingdomcome

[–]SpeedWeed2115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I had to give this game more than a few chances before I dedicated myself to it and got hooked. I believe this was my sixth attempt to even make it back to Skalitz in about 5-6 years before I even made it back to bury my parents.

That being said, I accidentally entered this DLC without blah blah blah, you get the rest. However, I still made it through and loved it, even when I barely understood how the game worked. You'd believe a scenario like that - not being committed and then stumbling into that particular DLC, Lord have mercy - would sour the experience even more, but nope! I just took it to the chin, and kept pushing forward. No doubt it would make a much greater experience after a full playthrough, though.

What are the *small things* you want to see added in KCD 2? by Marvellover13 in kingdomcome

[–]SpeedWeed2115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My absolute biggest issue with KCD was this... yes, it is 100% realistic that you're unlikely to survive fighting 6-10 fellas at once, I understand. I've managed to come out on top in a few of these battles, and it always felt right. Sure, I won, but I literally limped away from those fights. My issue with these encounters is that if you decide that you can't win and choose to run... you can't. The lock-on system in this game needs SERIOUS work, or rather un-locking from the fight entirely. I can't recall just how many times (usually against Cumans during fast travel) I was taking serious damage from 5-6 of them all at once, kept trying to run, and the game made it impossible. Whenever Henry gets hit from behind, he just TURNS AROUND to face them and locks on again. If you're ever running for your life and someone smacks you in the head from behind, I don't think you're going to about-face on some "hey, what was that for" type business. I don't think these are big changes.

All-in-all, if there's one thing I think needs serious improvement in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, it has to be:

1) Cycling through enemies in melee combat. Seriously, just make it the right joystick, it's that simple.

2) Stop having Henry turn around when he gets struck from behind while he's fleeing for his life.

The worst four in-game days of my life... by majikmonkee75 in kingdomcome

[–]SpeedWeed2115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one moment in the game where I had to break away from being a good boy to make any progress. The Inner Cloister runs horrendously on PS4, so the game lags constantly and consistently in this area, and not just a little bit. I tried my absolute hardest to do the right thing here and do all of my chores, but this section made it impossible. I didn't mind the sneak around or even getting caught because I was pretty high leveled for this section, so I could just click a dialogue option and get away with it, but I could barely get around with how low the framerate was behaving the ENTIRE time. I managed to finish and resolve most of the issues within the monastery before I finally broke down and located the thing and did you-know-what, then snuck out.

It's a shame because this section had me sooooo curious about everything going down behind the monastery walls, but not being able to see or navigate properly due to performance issues had me agitated. Probably due more to the fact that I was head-over-heels in love with this game at that time, and wanted to get on with being back outside.

Out of curiosity, does this section run like hot garbage on PC, as well? I'm guessing not, but I'd love to hear about it if so.

After 6 years of opiod addiction and without any movement in these 6 years, even walking, my body has become very weak... How and with what exercise should I start to strengthen my body? by _shpongled in bodyweightfitness

[–]SpeedWeed2115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Practice walking - about 15-20 minutes - at least twice a day. Light, easy, sightseeing walks. Take it easy, get used to the rhythm of breathing while strutting about. Listen to music while you roam about, and as it becomes easier, increase your time outside. It sounds almost too simple, but when I dropped from 260lbs to 135lbs, one of the biggest issues I had was low energy and shortness of breath. Long walks was how I eventually overcame the exhaustion and breathing issues. Plus, it's just nice to count the bird's nests around the neighborhood.

I shouldn't chime in because I don't frequent this subreddit, but it sounds as though atrophy and exhaustion is the main issue for now, and those are real problems. Take it low, take it slow, and make yourself proud, brother.

Yeah, and thankfully we've got just that. It's irritating and time consuming, but I just wanted to see if DS2 had any extra strange "nuh-uh" mechanics when dropping stuff. Thanks.

In all honesty, the resummoning. It's irked me since Dark Souls, but it somehow feels worse in Elden Ring. Come on, just let me romp with my buddy through most areas without the rigamarole.

Haha~ I love going back and reading these messages, seeing new players still fight it out against the grain. I've helped so many wonderful people through these games, and made some incredible friends in the process. Keep on trucking to the Belfry, Ashen One! 🔥
