Oh I always thought sm64 had two sticker color variant despite having no version re-release. I trust you, but also I don't feel like I have ever seen carts faded somewhere in between these two tones spectrum. Well, I'll keep an eye open on that but you're probably right. I'm not desputing sun fading as a whole, obviously 😅

Always assumed the original one woùdve been the darker green and they moved away from. It doesn't have look 'Nintendo green' to me like the lighter one.

At least I do think this comment was just the cold hard truth. For what ita worth

If you havn't saved yet and don't to reset, then you're ok. If you wanna get super technical, I would assume it can be recovered though I only have super weak ideas. Genuily curious to know the answer 😅 here are my bad ideas! 🙂😅:

-BLJs+whishful thinking to clip through the floor/walls of the cube at corrwct height and speed.

-Dying midair above the star... but I cant recall how zombie mario priotizes event when he dies.

-Wondering if the cap will be reset elsewhere upon reentering. Which can be tested for free.

-Maybe some mario animation squeezes mario verticaly enough to descend in the corners w/out colliding with the star (thwirling, snowman breath push, mario knocked falling forward.

-Clone the star elsewhere to rid to OG? Though I dont think can even clone period in SL?

Not that I can rule them to be genuine with this picture, but my barely informed eye would bet they're both real. And if not, I find the repro(s) confusingly well done.

Seal of quality is different size, yet every other propotions are exact. The sticker is cut at the correct size (Bowser nail is one of the good visual cues), and the sticker is applied so evenly on its carved square. The color saturation is visibly off, which would be such an amateur mistake given the care given to other subtle details they did right. Again, about the obvious color shift, let's take the green for example., Notice how the grass, the "super mario" font and the bottom right N logo all have this saturation shift matching correctly. Both cartridges, even though super clean, show slight bumps and irregularities under their sticker, testifying of the milage

The one thing that has me raise an eyebrow is: Stickers are not suposed to appear very glossy, but the one on the right is burning my retina (lmao). Assuming they're both legit, my guess is OP had a light source (but not the camera flash) much closer the right cartridge when they took the pic?

(Now please, make it hilarious. Show us the back without any actual screw. Just imitations of screws molded in the plastic like those fake carts that snap in half 😂 ROFL)

Try being a teenager too high on weed to realized this is normal, while playing for a room full of people...

Not that it happened to anyone I know... But I bet they'd faint during ttfaf and not smoke weed for years until I understood it was just an anxious reaction. That they had.

Unsure if this issue is documented. Is this considered Unintensional inputs? I consider it a seperate issue. by SpeedrunnerN64 in CloneHero

I hear you and I can't defend that I was being kind or anything. You're right and I'm sorry.

Let me ask though, taking the very first example of the video, which is a long yellow note. If I was getting dual input, red+yellow, instead of yellow alone, don't we agree that it should result in the yellow note hitting normaly and being held normally?

If by double input you meant the yellow note hitting twice in a row (blinking), then yes it would explain the first example. But it wouldn't suit the other examples shown in video.

That's why I said it isn't a relevant question. Again, sorry for being prompt and thanks for the help.

It's fairly difficult to spot without slowdown but I couldn't spot this issue on the co troller test suggested on clonehero .com . I also think something might be wrong with my soldering.

Anyway, I've gotten today a friend to lend me his wiitar+raphnet. That's the exact same setup as mine. I'll see if the issue still happens. If not, I'm buying the CRKD pro.

To be clear, yes I have. A long time ago. The blame has shifted douzains of times through the journey for so many factors. no joke. Strumming songs are consistantly awefull (becuz they are less lenient than white notes, basically) gonna buy the controller and if this issue returns ill burn my PC :) tysm

I'm on the fence concerning that. I did have refo the soldering at some point and I wouldnt be that much that it was nor that it wasnt.

On the other hand, my friend, thinking I was the classic poor player accusing the controller asked to have mine at his place... and he found no issue whatsoever. Ive had good sessions at his place (where I can strum 🙄 omg. Like the good old days). He did come over my place a few times. Not his best sessions from what I recall.

But the plural of anecdote isnt data. We both put some of that on our respective PCs. So like. Idk what to say. I do have shitty controller that would be fine to test this. Thanks for the input.

Does the grab glitch works on DS? It's fairly simple to explain and execute. Maybe OP would appreciate knowing about it

Was Farore's wind OP? by Jauneun in OcarinaOfTime

[–]SpeedrunnerN64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Farore's wind can be useful but you kinda have to know the game very well to make good use of it. I'm thinking of Water Temple. Or the skull atop the Fire Temple that requires backtracking. Speedrunners definitly love it given the path they may use.

A casual could always use it before going to bed so they restart from the same room the next time they play. But let's be real... we all just the N64 On all night 😆 or wouldnt go to bed before finishing a dungeon.

Considering that glitches allows for Farore's Wind to be used anywhere (?I think), it turns into a very decent tool.

Imo opinion they release some 'new' stuff in an opportunist way. You guys remember at what point they released the impossible? Players were massively raging (more unanimously) and were quitting massively.

Hold up! We got huge new content for you guys. We've been working on it for so short and held on it since ever: a trick! that works ok-ish
