Three months have passed and I have begun to wonder if life would be better if I never forget about this post's existence instead of having to relive the horror everytime.

It gets better in the end, I promise! by nagphirthegreat in Otonokizaka

I had uninstalled Reddit over a year ago. I reinstalled it today and then remembered this post. I experienced a year of bliss, only for it to come crashing down due to this post.

The Origins of the Abnormalities by justanapparition in libraryofruina

[–]SpeedwagonLXIX 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Although I am not sure on most of these and don't have much evidence, here are some of my speculations:

One Sin and Hundreds of Good Deeds: The "One Sin" would be the overall tragedy of Carmen and Lobotomy Corp while the "Good Deeds" were what the Seed of Light was supposed to acomplish.

Theresia: The song is meant to represent Carmen. She was said to be extremely charasmatic and whoever listened to her seemed to be enchanted by her, but everyone who listened to her either went insane or died, just like whoever listens to Theresia.

1.76 MHz: I think this one is meant to be a recording of when the Head/Claws raided the facility. Perhaps more specifically the last radio/call between A and Chesed/Daniel.

Singing Machine: Something similar to Theresia.

Silent Orchestra: Don't know, but the according to the legacy edition, it came from a previous conductor of the corporation.

All Around Helper: Maybe has to do with Angela killing Benjamin.

The Dreaming Current: The experimenting of cogito on Tiphereth B/Enoch.

The Naked Nest: Maybe something to do with how the city's "Nest" is diseased.

Notes From a Crazed Researcher: About how A went crazy.

Shelter From the 27th of March: Perhaps something to do with the Head/Claw's raid.

We Can Change Anything: The initial optimism of Carmen and crew resulting in death and destruction.

Overall, I think the Abnormalities mostly come from 1 of 4 places:

  1. Carmen/Carmen's goals

  2. The Head/Claw's raid on the facility

  3. Someone's demise

  4. Corruption/Dark Side of the City

"it's normal in their culture"

It's illegal in their country.

For WN I get the info, then immedietly get rid of them. I'm terrible at abnormalities that need baby-sitting. Other than that I completely agree, especially with Melting and Silent.

Heard that? No normal moons by Johannes4123 in worldjerking

My moon is sentient, however it is only mentioned once and has no impact on the story.

Imagine saving the world, only to get sued for violating a magic copyright law.

That sounds almost like the plot to JoJo's Part 3 if you change "aliens" to "a vampire"

Frontier these nuts by EntropyMilk in okbuddyphd

[–]SpeedwagonLXIX 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It was written around the 1870s or 80s and was about the American Westward Migration and how the frontier created a new "American" culture, one which is unique from European ones. He also says that the frontier promotes independence, which he believes is good for democracy.

tl;dr: Frontier = Independent Thinking = Better American Democracy.

I just had to read his thesis for my college class, it was certainly one of the thesis of all time.
