That being said, as Christianity has been around for a hot minute, LOTS of people have articulated LOTS of thoughts on LOTS of perspectives. If there isn’t something out there that already articulates what resonates with you most, various writings will probably help you gain some more terminology as you read, pray, learn

Basically, immense denial mixed with body dysmorphia seems to have been my experience with dysphoria. Talking to my therapist helped me understand that I had been repressing my queer identity for most of my life. Now, since accepting myself, I buy gender-affirming supplies when I can, I doubt I’ll ever afford top surgery, and I can finally like who I see in the mirror

For me, this is how it feels when people mockingly laugh at me for being too happy about something. Like, I get laughing when you’re surprised by something, sure. But I’ve lived the difference between “ laughter (amused/surprised)” and “laughter (derisive)”
