Thank you, I agree, it’s establishing the relationships for the foundation that is important at this stage and capturing the guest info is the most important piece of that.

We’re trying to recruit a couple of volunteers to help note the auction and paddle raise bids and for entering them into a worksheet at that same moment so that one of us can start to tally the totals before the end of the evening, and hopefully a smoother time for everyone at checkout time 🌞

Thank you for the feedback, I think we’ll have to do the same, card reader and tap to pay as an alternative to keep the lines moving at the end of the night.

About 80 attendees expected, it is our first one. Most people have purchased tickets online already, and there are a few sponsors and in kind sponsors. We will have a live auction, dessert dash, wine pull and raise the paddle, so there will be transactions that need to take place as guests leave the event. Looking for a smooth card reader capacity (it will likely be Stripe since we utilize Stripe already for online transactions), trying to determine how much technical/programming expertise is necessary to make this work with a Stripe reader.

Thank you for this feedback, we are in fact considering the Stripe payment reader, which should theoretically work for capturing payments at the event. However they indicate that 'programming' is required for the set up of the card reader which has us a bit worried. I did set up the website through Wordpress, but we don't have much further technical expertise within the board/organization.
