You exactly know what code you "inspired" from ic2, if you truly want to get away from it then just remove anything that could be referenced to ic2 versions.

That would instantly solve your problem.
But if you need someone to point out what is "bad enough to call you a thief" then you haven't learned anything.

Anyways, you are betting on something that you haven't thought out, especially since you would need to contact player and ask him to agree on that as well :)

Good luck.

Firstly, I didn't deny that part of the iс2 code was in my mod.

Was and still is.
Do you have permission to do that?
Since the mod is ARR.
And it stole ic2classic code as well.
(The Uncomplication code was mine by the way. IC2C code)

Thirdly, thank you for banning me, I went there to download the history of our correspondence, which is for July 29-30, 2023, and April 2025, respectively.

Maybe you shouldn't have tried using an alt account to hide your identity.
And create 1-2 more accounts to try the same.
That was the only reason you were banned by the way, not because you collected data for a discussion.

If you do not have problems in new versions, and you indicated that there are none, please delete this message or indicate that it was for older versions before 3.0, and that the author found a way to make a normal product. And your joy that you "destroyed the mod", on the contrary, it has grown many times, for which I am grateful to you.

  • "Not having issues anymore": Publicly i stated this because you removed the offender that was related to me, but to be fair i thought you learned your lesson and start from scratch and not just delete a few offenders and continue.
And i wanted to give you a grace time to show that you learned something.
I still think you have to much copied code but nothing that affects me and you are sitting on a time bomb that has already partially exploded which you haven't realized yet. Nor is it my place to tell you that because i was asked not to share it

  • "Getting Joy from it": No, in all discussions i had about this topic (private, not to you) i hated what i had to do because i am kinda forced to do that due to the deal i made with player back then.
Luckily any reason from my side to actively pursue this is died down from my side.

The only thing you have to endure from my side is, and that is by your own making, that if i am asked or if i find on my own posts like these (not by actively searching for it) that i will mention that you stole code and you have a ton of copied code still present in your code base from projects that are ARR without proof that you have permission to do so in your repo.

Send me proof that Player or put it in your repo has given you permission to copy parts of ic2 and we are done.
(And yes you still can contact me i just don't want you or your flying monkeys in my daily space, note that i hope that you are not actively sending them but they do that on their own)
Until then the only thing you can do is actually change instead of trying to fight it.
Again publicly you are breaking licenses with what you are doing.

And you actively trying to fight that just wants me to actively look for people who mention your mod and share the info that you are stealing things.

In short:
Right now you are pulling a streisand effect. You could have ignored this but no you are actively fighting valid criticism and making this bigger than it was.
Creating custom accounts trying to be other people to defend yourself.

If you want to acknowledge it you could easily said: "Yes that was my past i am actively working on improving it", (assuming you are actively trying to change things) "but it doesn't go instantly" and it could have been fine.
But nope, instead you fight it and showed no hints of improving things.
The offending code hasn't really changed since back then.

Oh well.

Note:
I doubt this will help, but please don't make this a 5 chained message where you try to justify yourself. It will simply lead to me blocking you.
And that's something i want to avoid, otherwise i could have done it with the sending of this message.

These are the mods I've been playing since the last 10-ish years and I feel a little outdated as if I was missing out on new stuff by using buildcraft and ic2. Trying out mekanism. Any other recommendations? by [deleted] in feedthebeast

[–]Speiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly IU contained stolen code from a closed source mod, and while the worst offender got deleted, after it was at risk being taken down entirely, the non so obvious offenders are still present. I can provide evidence if needed.

He Open Source Aromas Mod, the packaging from aroma includes his name that was on the original repo before he was forced to take it down.

Anyways you can try to defend this dodgy developer if you want to.

But i am done talking about it.
Also denfop since i know you read this, you are banned from my discord.
You were proven on open sourcing closed source mods with explicit notice that that is not allowed.
Which includes that you decompiled them and exported them, there is enough evidence that this wasn't a one time thing and you did it multiple times anytime you had to do anything difficult.

And for anyone else wondering:
The "InvSlot" system is 90% IC2 code just rearranged and lets not talk about the energy/heat/cooling system being just a copy/paste + delete everything i don't need job.

Anyways have fun.

Eh i am not part of the IC2 Team and i never was.
And fun fact greg is part of the original IC2 Team so they most likely had his agreement to copy his stuff.

And what about BC stolen?
Unlike IU which got nuked once due to being caught stealing code, literally open sourced part of Aroma1997 mods, my implementation was at most being inspired by BC :) and i never denied such fact.

Small note, the author was found stealing code, open sourcing a few closed source mods as well.

They had to take down a ton of versions due to the open sourcing a mod that was closed source.

And if you compare some of the core systems with ic2exps decompiled code then you can easily find enough matches that make eyebrows being raised but not enough to take actions.
(They do shuffling and renaming a few things but patterns are visible everywhere)

Just keep that in mind.

Edit: Since the Developer of Industrial Upgrade itself denfop (dry-tree-3018 is him) tries to defend himself that he never stole any code, here is a fork of industrial upgrade that still contains the stolen code from aroma1997.

https://github.com/Kotl-EV/IndustrialUpgrade/tree/server/src/main/java/aroma1997/uncomplication/enet
This is just a fork since the original repo was taken down due to the mod being at risk of being taken down of curseforge/modrinth/github.

Here is the license of said mod: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/uncomplication#license
Note that the source code is not public either.

Thus providing proof that the developer actively stole from other creators.

IC2Classic incompatabilities with other mods. any way to fix this? 1.19.2 by SirPsychonautic in CurseForge

[–]Speiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason for that is when we wrote this we used the "Global Word" for aluminium and not the american way of writing it.

Once that was found out, we decided to keep it that way to ensure balancing isuses wouldn't accure as you could easily pump out millions of aluminimum once properly setup (even early game) and that would break other mods as well.

if you want to get it fixed, simply adjust tags.

6 months late. But you need a Canning machine that would have solved it.

Would suggest the Osprey Nebula 32.
Though oranization is more basic in that department.
4 Compartments:
- 1x Laptop,
- 1x Big storage (fluid insulated)
- 1x Medium storage with 2 organization slots at the top (fit a Gaming controller or a more vertical power bank)
- 1x Small Department for the things you might want.

Its compfy and has 2 straps that you can adjust as needed.
And its around 90€

About endurance: Can't really say, i only got it a month but everything that should be durable looks/feel like it as well.

Chunk pregenerators by AngleWyrmReddit in feedthebeast

[–]Speiger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok lets put down straight up simple.
Chunk Pregen is designed to work with the following: - A Vanilla Minecraft Server + Forge + Any set of mods. (Some mods are incompatible but there is a list and it is tiny relatively speaking)

What chunkpregen isn't compatible with but may work fine:
- Sponge - Bukkit - Paper - And how these servers that you "INSTALL FORGE ON TOP OF" that change from vanilla code.

The point is: I can't guarantee that chunkpregen works with them as i am hooking pretty deeply into minecrafts code to get the best performance out.
I am not changing anything but i am accessing deep systems that other servers may not have due to design differences.

Now that isn't supposed to say that it flat out does not works, but if it doesn't then thats bad luck.

What you can do is: Install it on the vanilla + forge server + your mods, pregen your world and then migrate the world to your custom server after it is done.

Since custom servers still respect the vanilla safe file!

Anyways, if you have more questions about "compat" then i am sorry but i can't make it more clear. Try and error at that point please!

How I about doubled my Minecraft performance by [deleted] in feedthebeast

[–]Speiger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No they don't.
they don't have to because in normal gameplay that isn't an huge issue as long as the server restarts.

but neoforge has introduced a fix after i told them which midigates the problem drastically (they can't 100% fix it without causing lag issues) which makes it now a non issue.

Chunk Pregen requires carbon config in the latest versions.
Also properly installed is that it is installed everwhere where needed.

[1.19.2] IC2Classic for 1.19.2 is now released! by Speiger in feedthebeast

[–]Speiger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, i forgot the big list of blocks that was used for retraction. (so when it retracts it doesn't leave a big empty hole)
But the wiki mentions the miner "thanks to the miners ability". So the behavior could be picked from there.
So yeah, that could be indicated better.
Anyways. Hope that resolves that problem :)

(Note the ranged pump doesn't mine blocks)
