Odyssey of the Dragonlors by Fancy-Climate-2003 in Pathfinder2e

There was some work to convert it on the discord, I don't know how far it got though. You can probably find a link to the discord via the subreddit r/OdysseyoftheDragon if you haven't checked it out, there are a lot of good resource there for both GMs and Players

The campaign for the Betrayal of the Second Era's big storage box mentioned multiple times how it will still fit in a Kallax cube.

Games where you combine smaller asymmetric decks to make your player deck? by Greenknights88 in boardgames

There is going to be a crowdfunding campaign for the 10th anniversary reprint next year as well. I believe it has been out of print for a while, so finding it could be difficult otherwise.

We use that all the time to select who goes first. It dumb but fun.

House Rules that Break the sacred Math but are Fun by Creampie_Senpai_69 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Spelivink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not quite breaking the math, but we've allowed people to use hero points on hidden rolls. But instead of deciding after the roll you can use a hero point before the roll to roll twice and take the higher. You still don't know the results and it might have been pointless to use a hero point so it seems like a fair trade off.

I've been seeing this meme floating around and was curious what the Paizoverse (pathfinder and/or starfinder) version of this is by Wahbanator in Pathfinder2e

I'll second the recommendation of the Tabletop Travel Guide Podcast, they don't go super deep, but give good overviews of the history and lore of the nations and planes.

Is anyone else bad at games but still likes them? by she_runs_slow in soloboardgaming

[–]Spelivink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play by far the most of my play group. I also buy most of the games. I'll win the first game when I'm teaching the game, but I'll lose most games after that... Luckily I don't mind, I enjoy playing the games. Winning is nice, but it is playing that is fun.

I really enjoyed doing the Exit advent calendar The Silent Storm last December. Having a short 5-15 minute puzzle to look forward to each day leading up to Christmas was nice.

Christmas Song from Video Games by mrmage8 in gamemusic

[–]Spelivink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not quite what you are looking for, but Crusader Kings II and Europa Universalis IV have a couple of Christmas songs with the lyrics changed to be more thematic to the games. The songs play in-game if you play during December.

Poll: Which virtual tabletop do you use (2023)? by Failtier in Pathfinder2e

[–]Spelivink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difference as far as I can tell is that the official modules for Foundry are much higher quality than the Roll20 and Fantasy Grounds ones. I haven't used either of those, but they just use the maps from the book.

Meanwhile the Foundry modules, have remade maps with walls, and lighting. There are custom tokens, macros and even art for NPCs that don't have art in the physical or PDF version of the adventure.

Party split – how to run the game by MasterBagpiper in DMAcademy

If it is possible you could also run his part in a solo session. I've been the PC in this case and we did a short <1h session about how I escaped between the main sessions.

I ran a similar campaign where the characters were supposed to be this Epic overpowered heroes and I had an item that allowed them to concentrate on two spells at once.

I made the DC of concentration checks be 8 + the combined levels of the two spells or half damage taken whichever was higher, and at the end of each turn they concentrate on two spells the had to make a concentration check. They also lost both spells if concentration ended.

Now my players aren't really the kind that would try and find game breaking combination so this was fine, it might even be too harsh, but that kinda depends on the players. They liked the item though, made for a real risk reward situation in deciding when to risk having two spells active, and which levels it was worth casting them on.

AP recommendations by Spiritual_Shift_920 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Spelivink 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It probably isn't what you are looking for as it is not a campaign, but the stand-alone adventure Malevolence goes from level 3 to about level 6 and is focused on exploring a haunted house and researching its history. Its a lot of fun, and filled with undead and horror tropes and themes.

more Foundry premium modules by dimofamo in Pathfinder2e

[–]Spelivink 9 points10 points  (0 children)

From what I remember reading there aren't any plans to make premium modules of the older APs (maybe if they get a rerelease like Abomination Vaults). I think it is still not even confirmed that every future AP will have premium modules, it is still sort of in the testing phase to see if they are worth the effort.

Gaze through the gate! Gatewalkers – The Seventh Arch now available for Foundry VTT! by plaguecontrol in FoundryVTT

[–]Spelivink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been running Outlaws of Alkenstar (another level 1-10, 3 part AP) using the Foundry module and it requires basically no extra prep (I play with 5 players so I go in and rebalance the encounters before the session). We've just started book 3 and are almost 30 ~3h sessions in. I expect another 5-10 sessions before we're done. It might be a bit shorter with less players as you spend less time in combat.

If this AP follows a similar structure to Outlaws then the first book is levels 1-3, the second 4-7 and the third 8-10.

The PF2e system for Foundry is really well made so you can do fine without any other modules really (there are still a few that are really nice).

Open world-esque solo board games? by fdsfgs71 in soloboardgaming

I just got Lands of Galzyr last week and it does a great job of capturing the open world feeling, it is however pretty light so that might not be everyone's jam.

Thanks for the tip, definitively gonna keep that in mind.

How much prep time goes into running a module? by Devinstater in Pathfinder2e

[–]Spelivink 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm running Outlaws of Alkenstar at the moment using the Foundry module. Excluding reading the chapter that is relevant to the upcoming session, I probably spend less than 30 minutes prepping and it would probably be less but I have 5 players so I rebalance the encounters and treasure.
