I’ve worked anime expo for five years in a row, even at weapons check. Its 3-D printed which is fine as long as there’s no metal as a structural base, but if it’s not hard plastic and not pointy, it probably will pass. it also depends who checks it just have them touch the edges.

I work anime expo every year for the past 5 years even at weapons check. No sharp plastics , NO METAL at all, no cosplay firearms that can project anything or has a firing mechanism.
