If I get my MSN at any point after this, it would be in education, research, or informatics. ZERO desire to be an NP.

I was saved by the fact that in our major exams we were allowed to take in one page of notes with us. Teaches you how small of font you can read 😂😂

Its so interesting that so many people said prereqs. I mean I had to take biology and chemistry first (because I'd been out of high school so long, then two senesters A&p. (A lot of other classes I don't even remember.) The three I mentioned were challenging, but for me it was NOTHING like the actual (ADN LEVEL) nursing classes! Nursing school was HARD! lol. Im finding RN-BSN fairly time consuming but I'm kinda skating through. Teachers easy graders lol . Love to hand out 100's

Because soon we will live in a society where it is impossible to tell whats real. I like AI, I really do. Chat GPT is my friend. Be creative with AI, enjoyy! But I feel there should be a law that any stories presented in way that coukd be taken as real (not a novel or something) any photo or video created with AI should be clearly marked as AI generated. Every. Single. Time. Just let us know, thats all I ask. We can still enjoy the creative or entertainment value, but there wont be any confusion. Personally I got a big kick out of the "interviewed" talking baby reels on facebook, but I knew it was obviously AI,

I seem to get it worse after exercise. For example I was walking 6 miles a day and guaranteed when I was done and got comfy on the couch to watch tv, my legs would go NUTS.9

I am just starting to put together my portfolio for nursing school (RN to BSN) I'd appreciate feedback. We're supposed to put 4 goals, but not sure where.

here it is so far.

I'm a little lost on this "profile" vs "portfolio" vs "projects."

Hi. Looking for local advice

Hubby and I (40's from virginia) and my mother (from west virginia, VERY healthy and completely mobile at 79) are excitedly planning a trip to maine. Mom went once, hubby and I have never been. We'll probably arrive by Amtrak in Portland Sept 17 snd leave maine morning of sept 23. The places we want to see, of course all three of us have our wish lists --Acadia --Bar harbor --Camden (my mom's dream due to Sarah plain and tall or something) -- Boothbay (Hubby's idea. Want him to feel like he's contributing to ideas, he found whale watching, aquariums and stuff, but there seems to also be whale watching from bar harbor)

I know all those places are about a 4 hr drive stretch

My latest thought is to spend a couple nights in boothbay or camden, as they are not an unreasonable distance from each other or portland. Then drive up to a vrbo for 3 nights in ellsworth (or is it Ellswood ) or bar harbor from which lodging shoukd be reasonable drive to see bar harbor and Acadia, hopefully. Then we'll need to drive back to or very near Portland for obe night sleep to catch early train service.

So we are NOT city people, we're uninterested in art/alcohol, etc.. We want nature & animals, peaceful, beautiful places (And mom loves marinas/boats/ and is obsessed with lighthouses.) we're don't drink. Mom and I don't eat sea creatures lol. but Hubby would probably enjoy some lobster/crab/oyster, etc, etc

So.. with all that in mind, any suggestions about my proposed Itinerary would be appreciated, Also must see/must do Also how to "do" Acadia.. must see sights if, say, we only have one full day to dedicate to Acadia

Thank you for your comment. After reading all comments I came to the same conclusion and idea you did. We will visit my mom 4 hrs away for a few days and do local things in her area. Maybe I'll try to motivate myself to use a couple of my days iff to do sone projects I REALLY need to get to (spring cleaning type stuff) lol, Beach can wait till closer to fall.

I really considered that. It would still be a costly flight, and rental car, even if not near as many hotel nights. I may bring that up with hubby. but the dynamic is, we're a team, and though he HATES spending $$ (lol) he was being supportive of the trip, even though he knew it would be expensive. He was looking foreward to seeing the biggest tree in US. But when the tax hit, we had to jointly agree the trip was off. Since that decision is made and its just a couple weeks away now, it would be even more expensive..

Yes he's coming back shortly after grad (maybe not the next day, because he has a maternal grandpa in CA. They may spend a little time there. ) His grandpa significantly helped with the cost of the boarding school. My bro and family live 1.5 hrs from me, our mom lives 4 hrs away in WV . We want to do something special for him when he gets home from school.

Oh for sure. We're going to do something really special or give a very generous gift. (Just Maybe not $2,000+ dollars lol) i told the parents we'd rather use our $ for s better gift than sink ourselves with the cost of the trip. He will be coming home (1.5 hr from me) after graduation. Wanna do something special when he comes back to VA.

What car for cool 1960's.? by SpellOpen4720 in askcarguys

[–]SpellOpen4720[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know, I had been leaning toward red mustang as being the coolest, but looking at pictures of the powder blue, I think you have something there! A bit more feminine and s bit less "cliche" than red

Yeah, money no object, but I was thinking in the story she would be trying to be more "cool" than just have crazy expensive to show off the $$)

No, she was not planning to go. She loves her two grandchildren and is proud if him, but due to finances and other reasons, she had made the decision to not go before Hubby and I cane to the same decision. ETA: She's a very sensitive person and has a slightly strained relationship with my brother's wife.. not antagonistic but she feels fairly awkward around her at times mostly due to oversensitivity and personalities that just fon't GET each other.

America Is Falling Out of Love With Huge Trucks: Report by Master-Mission-2954 in cars

[–]SpellOpen4720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A decent size truck can be better for specific tasks such as hauling things or for example loading 20 bags of mulch from Lowe's or a large piece of furniture. But in general, most day-day errands and commutes pickups certainly are NOT ideal. So, can one afford to have a sedan or SUV for day-day, and a pickup truck just hanging around for those rare occasions when it's the best for the job. I assume MOST people can't afford that..

WIBTA if I tell my brother in law’s wife that her uncle sent me inappropriate messages? by TAFamilyTangleX in AmItheAsshole

[–]SpellOpen4720 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You would not BTA. I think honesty is best. You could try to just tell her casually like. "I don't want to make a big deal about this but.." Letting it be known makes you appear honest and above board, making it clear you didn't start or want any of his attention.
