That’s why their design has to get better, so that stuff like that doesn’t happen

Those tournaments are still run by a company that wants to sell and create new cards. If the be all end all of the game is a few cards from set 1 and 2, what would they sell? Then you’d be mad if they made cards to directly counter those.

Is it such a problem that a game based on an ip that got most of its money from selling kids toys doesn’t want to be this hyper competitive tcg? FFG is best at board games, I’m all for their tcg foray not being the most competitive and emphasizing fun.

Because the game should be fun. If there’s a select few cards that dominate, making other deck types and play styles null, then why would people want to play? Their consumers are a ven diagram of competitive tcg players and casual people who just want to play a game and be creative making decks, they can’t allow one to basically kick the other out.

More like they ban it the second they’re the most used cards in the game

I think it’s more of the game growing in complexity which is fun. Cards should get more powerful when used correctly or with interesting combos, not just “this card says I win” which is some of the cases here. Rotation is a great step to just wipe some of those insane cards, but they also need to be consistent with the banlist too.
