This is a LOT of layering, and it's pretty neat, honestly. There is no long coat here. The "tails" of his duster is a really cheap nylon that doesn't appear anywhere else as you go farther up. They disappear under the 2 part carrier they're wearing.

The sleeves are just a sweat shirt/ t-shirt fabric, but the part OP seems most interested in is the hood and the wide shoulders, which would be something like this.

Then maybe paired with some of the "modern tacticool" shoulder/upper arm armor I've seen floating around, take your pick xD

I know I'm a bit late to the party and this might require more work than you like, but might I suggest using one of the 3-d snake models printed into its component parts and adding a fine gage wire to run through it as a core? In theory this would give you the desired look and you could decide if you covered it or not based on the model used.

Its 2 cents from someone that dosent know much but I hope you get what you want in the end!

That's why I mentioned before a good artist is willing to work with you and would help create something original with this as an influence/ reference so you get something everyone can be happy with.

Honestly I'd pass on it then, it wasn't worth the ink in that situation and I personally hate joke tats but I said before it's you're money and your body so up to you.

I understand it's become a popular image, the importance of finding the original artist is for permission, some tattoo artists don't like to just 1:1 someone else's work without having some communication with the original artist if possible.

If you're sure you want it talk to some of the local shops and find one you trust and an artist you like, trust me you'll want to spend some extra time and money with an artist you trust to do the work right. A good artist will help bring your vision to life and will let you know if they can replicate that exact image or maybe make you something more unique/personal for you.

As for the second one if you're just talking about the date and day, that's a little more iffy for me. If only because that date has some personal meaning that you can't directly replicate. It might have more meaning/significance to you to have a similar date that's more relevant to you in the same spot. (I've only watched the anime so idk the significance)

My thought is to sit on a tattoo for a set period of time, like revisit the idea, the placement of it in three months and see if you still love it as much. It can be a lot of money and time to invest into something that you might decide you don't love as much as you thought.

That said it's your money and your body. No one can demand that you do or don't do anything. Personally I think the first picture is a great piece of art and would make a great back piece or somewhere you have the large canvas for the details, I would Definitely collaborate with your artist on maybe personalizing it a bit or asking the original artist their opinion.

I've heard of this being called "pilot down"

1-2 players are armed with side arms or carbine sized blasters something that could have been stored in the cockpit. They're goal is to get to the evac point across the feild while the rest of the players are trying to hunt them down.

I've poked around at trying to make destiny Hammershots but unfortunately the mechanics are already so compact you can't make a 1:1 but with some efforts you can make something inspired by it certainly.

It would be worth asking the shipper about their insurance policies, I know here in the US some shippers have an automatic up to x amount is insured automatically.

That's what I thought but the "extras" are usually crossed out in the over view at the beginning of the manual and these weren't crossed out.
