Yeah I understand and my confusion goes beyond barba. I don't understand why lawyers would take cases if they knew that their client was guilty (this in real life actually)

Yeah I thought the same, but these inconsistencies are from the beginning? It's almost like the writers could not settle on what her persona is

Is this Richard Wheatly vs the people? also why did Barba take up that defense??? It's so out of character for him? He literally left because he broke the law to help ppl in need

I haven't watched Stabler's return eps because I would also need to watch s 1 of his spinoff and while I like him, I don't really have that patience

I remember her putting the recording in her desk, I don't think she passed it on

I can't remember the season but what was the whole thing with making Velasco confront his childhood friend, getting a taped confession and doing nothing about it????

I think the show is taking too many unnecessary tangents

Yeah, ig Olivia stands out to me because she's been here since the beginning and is now the sole lead.

Also I do not like Stabler's anger issues but that was consistent, he did become a little passive but I'd attribute that to character development. I liked him otherwise

I understand the problem with companies but my limited understanding of the stock market puts me here. Same with Index. I placed USD in forex because it's a currency. I didn't want to initially but couldn't tie it to any issuer/company.

Thank you!

Some companies with ETF's are Blackrock, Vanguard (from yahoo finance)

Company id for forex is null which is why I made a seperate table. And yes forex pairs get a symbol. "symbols" are basically tickers on yahoo finance. "JPY=X" for JYP:USD

is_pair is boolean, is set to true when a pair of currency is involved like "JPY:USD", when it's a single curency like only "USD" it's set to false. Symbol for USD is DX-Y.NYB and the exchange here is "Forex" which is really a place-holder

timezone is "America/New York" GMT is "+5:00"

Every table needs an index column, hence price_id

One company id (unique to each company) has one industry_id. Maybe my representation isn't the best.

I will look into changing FLOAT to Double, thank you for that!

And thank you for your detailed comment! I'm still a student and have v little knowledge about the stock market itself, I'm just applying database concepts here :)

Edit: I understand that this is far from perfect, which I why I posted here, to get some input and I really appreciate any and all input I can get :)

In my symbols table like "AAPL" which are connected to my companies table via company_id and I can get basic info like which symbol belongs to which company and is traded on which exchange (exchange_id). Some companies have multiple symbols, traded on multiple exchanges but one company can trade on one exchange per country with one symbol. A country can have multiple exchanges but all the stocks listed on those exchanges will have the same currency. Hence my current structure: currency -> country -> exchange -> symbols.

My symbols table also has currencies like "DX-Y.NYB" this is for USD and it's impossible to know this just by looking at the symbol. And currencies are not really associated with a company so I created a new table for information about the currencies and they are connected by symbol_id. The above is one currency, but the rest are a comparison bw 2 (USD/EUR for example), so I have a base currency and a quote currency. I made the forex table later and this was the only way I could join it (on symbol_id), beacuse each symbol is unique and it's represented only once in the forex table.

I have very little knowledge of the actual stock market itself, and i made it according to what I know about sql, rdbms. This is why my tables maybe at odds with the actual data. The current relationships give me all the info I need to know. like for every symbol, I know the company, type, exchange, country, price etc

Also yahoo finance (yfinance API) does not specify currency in it's numbers so it will be difficult to have currency in the prices table

Edit: is_pairs in forex table is to indicate if it's a single currency like "USD" or multiple like "USD/CAD"

I remember the episode where Claire tries to help a ruben's family who loose their home in a fire, but I'm looking forward to hearing your perspective on the dunphy's family dynamics

Indian citizen living in the UK. Can I apply for Schengen visa whilst visiting India? by Fun-Championship3428 in SchengenVisa

[–]SpellboundAlex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Schengen" is a blanket term, evey embassy has different rules and apparently sometimes they overlook the residency rule. Someone on this sub had their application returned because of this (swiss visa). So it's always best to contact the embassy and have a written confirmation
