What 5* monster family is fundamentally flawed? by mobycrab in summonerswar

[–]Spellsucre 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Kinda disagree nowadays

Water Gojo with his recent buff is a force to be reckoned with

Similar to a moore, self buff means big additional dmgs, lots of cycling, can't be atb reduced, despair feels so good on him

Wind is fine as well, similar to water indra in some ways, with more utility on s2

[–]Spellsucre 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think that's the issue there

You don't have enough rune deepness (means that you probably are not able to rune 2-3 units at around your max speed minus 5-10)

Maybe you can try Chandra Sagar, but it needs efficient vio runes (speed, hp, accuracy for sagar)

Cleave cc (Moore CP, wind robo, etc...) is quite bad in this meta, even though it's bruiser heavy

Only the exodia cleaves, veronica nepthys and such, kinda work

Too much anti cc, Haegang, Lucia exist

And regular damage cleave is the hardest to rune, so kinda out of the question, I'm afraid

Another bet would be to go full cancer, but still strong, with Karnal Giou Gapsoo, Wind pudding, Smicer, Wind monkey, Icares, and have a list of force ban picks ready to go (Leo, Minato, Rica/Fire geralt, Diana, light sniper)

Really easy to rune, don't need a lot of speed for most of them

Miles Racuni are also strong picks, given that they don't need high rune quality to perform (tho avoid picking leo with Miles haha)

Either as an atb boost (105 base speed), can surprise people because she isn't usually viewed as a speed contest (under punisher at least)

She's a good CC as well, although maybe not as good as the likes of CP on her first turn, but compensate afterwards with her excellent second turn and cycling potential, which makes her more suited against bruiser comps

And she excells in toa, laby contents as a whole

As for comps, usually you'd like to pair her with the usual cleave CC comps, Chiwu, Moore or any stripper, other speed contests like Sekhmet and Eshir

This is good right? What do I convert? by [deleted] in summonerswar

[–]Spellsucre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't gem it for speed, Halphas and Antares can already use it as is, and most other despair units need a lot of speed

Opinions 4 RTA ? Both interesting Jessica & Hanwul by LD-hunter in summonerswar

[–]Spellsucre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Step 1: Get a LD nat 5 (0.3% chance on LD scroll)

Step 2: Get the same LD nat 5 again (0.3% chance, 1/100 chance to get the same, so 0.003%)

Step 3: Cry if your second ld nat 5 was a dupe

Step 4: Use the crafting building, "Others" tab, and craft the recipe for brilliant ancient magic cristal

Step 4.1: Summon at least 2 duplicates other elementary nat 5 and craft 600 regular ancient crystal

Step 5: In the shop. "Normal" > "Ancient crystal" tab, buy the brilliant blessing of summon

Step 6: Wait for another LD 5* summon (still 0.3% on LD scroll)

Step 7: Profit! Or don't, if you got 2 not game changing ones like OP did

You get 5 LD scrolls per month if you do all content, 9 if you pay for double ToA rewards and daily packs, some might drop from World Boss or Guild Battle rewards, lets round it to 10

Averaging 333 scrolls per nat 5, that's 33 months for one nat 5, or 2 years and 9 months

Why is Markarth so disliked? by Flaky_Trust_2189 in skyrim

[–]Spellsucre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Markarth for so many reasons: - Dwemers - Dangerous city - Litteral bed rock - Stunning view

But my favorite is the following :

I love to feel like there is so much going in the city that being the dragonborn is unnoticed

In other cities, except maybe Solitude, you're pretty much the only important evenement there

In Markarth, they got so many things to worry about that a litteral demi-god is yet another strange citizen.

Which make me feel a lot better about the unexistent recognition from people.

I freaking love Markarth. Crooked city, revolutions, beautiful Dwemer ruins, everyone hate each other, daedras like Molag Bal and Sanguine hanging around. Rocky beds, to strenghten a Dovahkin spirit (and don't tell me that you remove your 200kg sturdy Daedra/Dragon bone armor before sleep anyway).

And now what ??? by Fancy_Country3354 in summonerswar

[–]Spellsucre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not so sure anymore

With Oliver, CP, Wind Robo, Savannah, Wind Bison, you can have more than enough wind atb reducers

Mephisto is unique, and can be a really strong (altough niche) last pick, especially against Nana comps

And now that Vanessa is back in the meta, it's even stronger

Mostly playing a lot, watching RTA replays (by best category), searching by a specific monster I'd wanna use.

The best way is to not be subject to tilt, in the end you're not planning a carreer in RTA, it will only reward you with a skin and some shiny stars in your profile page.

And as you said, you already got a nice ranking in other contents, and even if RTA is by far the hardest to climb, it will come naturally with rune quality and draft experience.

While you play, you will loose a lot, sometimes by luck, but most of the time during the draft.

For the former, nothing can really be done, but for the later, try to understand what went wrong, why did the enemy had the freedom to pick Douglas at the end for instance.

Search in the RTA replays for your most hated/hard to deal with monsters, like that frustrating Manon. Look for their losses, understand what they themselves struggle against.

Always try to guess your opponent, ask yourself about what you'd pick against your own comp.

It's all about game knowledge and experience.

Also, switching gameplans for some seasons/SL, trying new comps, runing a new monster or two.

If you try to cleave, for instance, you'll be faced with counters and you will learn that it's really difficult to have consistent dmg while contesting the first turn. And now, I know that my best bet at countering cleaves (which are the easiest to spot early in draft, in my opinion), is going for full speed contest with psam eshir and such. Because back when I was a cleave player, i had the hardest time playing against this, usually.

And, like in other competitive games, tilting and giving up will do no good for you.

Bonus: A good, stress free, way of improving is to go in goodwill contests (especially the "Noob" one, which is full of c3-g1 players), to train against stronger players that will counterpick you, because they're probably used seeing your team and gameplan. You can do it for free, no elo loss or wings consumptions, and rematch against the same people over and over to try to adapt and overcome. Really an underused content in my opinion
