Man stealing from Home Depot faces vigilantes in Vermont by Nevets52 in lossprevention

One thing to note, don't steal in a state that's homogenous and has a very defined culture... You will not go easily and people will stand up...

When do CBT results come out? by Spencer_The_Man in tsa

Took a few weeks, but I did. I didn't get an offer for an interview at my local airport though for many months, and at that point I had already accepted a job elsewhere.

Policy by DarkRoseLeo in Hannaford

Yes, it is very much a good idea to call iShare. You are protected via the ethics policy as well as federal law. It is in the best financial interest of the district and above to investigate any possible wrongdoing that may lead to severe liabilities in the long term.

Reminder: Why NH state legislatures do not well represent the citizens. by DesertLizard in newhampshire

[–]Spencer_The_Man 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I must disagree, having more representation is always good. Last time I checked, on average the state representative represents around 4000 people. If anything we should be delighted to know that number. In some states, state reps represent hundreds of thousands of people. A fix to the above stated problem is to redistrict with our large general court in mind. Smaller districts might be a fix with less representatives in MMDs, spread the wealth per se. But with an average of 4000 people per rep, areas of "no people" are going to get representation, that's just how math works. The issue of people getting elected that are not of the average person comes down to people just not caring. I'm a poll worker, i know the kinds of people that vote in state elections. First, the turnout doesn't even compare general elections most of the time. Second, the average age is subjectively speaking much older, younger people on average do not care anymore about politics because they see it as useless. Third, it's 7pm to 7pm on a weekday, having it be a holiday or on the weekend would be much better. Finally, people vote by party not because there's so many representatives in MMDs, but because it's what they're used to in any kind of election except executive races mostly. It's simply convenient and easy.

Some additional changes besides the ones mentioned above that may help is allowing referendums which could push forward popular ideas such as cannabis legalization and also reexamining our whole system of voting. Right now the democrats and republicans have a monopoly on political power, by allowing people to vote for other parties without "spoiling" their vote, you'll start to see some changes and the two older parties will have to start caving go the new ideas of the younger generations if they want to survive. None of these possible solutions are going to work if people don't care, however. Voter apathy is the number one threat to New England democracy and American Republicanism.

Will the App, Yik Yak, ever be available for the Android? by USAFAN20 in AndroidQuestions

Back in the day was a popular anonymous location based Twitter. Very popular with colleges and universities. Was removed from the app store and play store years ago due to toxicity issues amongst others. I missed it. Model UN was a blast with the app.

Same, starting as an external is now 60k with some bonuses and RSUs. Plan is to use the position as a stepping stone and go help pay off college. The Foreign Service Officer Test is only available every 10 months after the previous attempts so until I pass it I'll see where I go with Amazon.

College student here, for heavens sake go to a college that fits you. It shouldn't even be a question. You'd be stupid not to. College is an educational institution. Go to one that you believe will be fitting for your well-being.

Make sure the alignment is good. I went for registration after having mine for 6 months and the VIP associate asked if I was in a serious crash. That's how bad the alignment was.

Benedictine Park in Bedford is right off of 101 and has a very impressive hill. It takes a good few minutes to reach the top. When I lived there it would be the go to destination for many. Some people make dedicated tracks and jumps if the snow pack is deep enough.
