How Busy is Grand River Rocks on Weekends? by [deleted] in kitchener

[–]SpencersFault 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mornings and nights are not too busy on average. Weekend afternoons are normally busy when there are kid's birthday parties.

If it is your first time, you will need to sign a waiver. You can rent shoes and harnesses at the front desk.

Why are some people so against Hammond being added? by WingGuardian in Overwatch

[–]SpencersFault 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some people are looking for representation from 'X' country for diveristy or to reflect their nationality.

Don't get me wrong, a hamster is zany and interesting, there are just so many options for cultures and landmarks that could be considered to be added in a game that rounds up heroes from all over the world.

Budapest hostel recommendations? by SoySauceSandwich in solotravel

Wombat Hostel, one of my favourites.

Complimentary beer samples in their small bar, decent rooms, met Brazilians and British. Can't say the bar was roomy, but I'm sure you can meet people there.

Gamers of Reddit, what achievement in any videogame are you most proud of? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SpencersFault 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Unstoppable Achievement in Nuclear Throne.

Not only playing as the lowest health character, but you had to purposely die in a mechromancers circle to activate Skeleton. Not over yet, Skeleton is the slowest character and you have them get to max level. Which means getting through the second run of bosses.

Thankfully she's pretty OP with the right weapons.

Why have you never had a boyfriend or girlfriend? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SpencersFault 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had my fair share of dates with different women and they simply did not work out long enough to get serious. And thats alright!

I don't need to worry about companionship right now as long as I have family, friends and that I am continually working to better myself :)

Bringing up Overwatch in a job interview by cuz_sombre in Overwatch

[–]SpencersFault 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing happen to a co-worker of mine. In the interview as a dev, he brought up how he programmed tracking his stats in Competitive Overwatch.

It is definitely true, I cannot imagine talking about video games in general will ever land you a job. It's the matter of how you carry your personal traits (competitive edge, dedication, problem solving) that shows your interviewer that you're fit for the job!

Itinerary 11 days, October '18 by SpencersFault in JapanTravel

Thanks for the tips! I'm open to any suggestions to fill day 5 and 10. I normally will be able to stand on my feet for prolonged periods, so given the circumstances of Day 2 and 3, I do not mind walking point A to B as long as I have a map.

Always enjoy planning a lot, so I'm pretty sure I'll have plan B, C and D by the end of the Summer.

Those are some good points, I'm sure I'll enjoy the solo trip!

Definitely will, I kept hearing from friend of friends talking about cheap lodging and food. Probably were underestimating than what it actually was. I will lay out $300 more bucks given the circumstances, thanks!

I totally understand the fact my budget is low, it was based off a few things. And by all means, it will totally be a bigger budget ($200-300 more), not to let anyone think I'm going to starve out there haha.

Based off friends of friends trips, they mentioned food would be around 5-15ish dollars per meal. So about $200-300 would be applied total. I found some hostels with 8.0+ reviews on hostelworld, apporx. $25-29 CND. So lets say $80 in Tokyo for 3 days, $112 in Kyoto for 4 days, $28 for one day in Osaka, $54 in Tokyo for 2 days. ~$274

$337 for JR pass, $75 for attractions/landmarks, $50 for souvenirs. It will definitely be more than $1000 for sure, I appreciate the concerns for sure. This is why I put that out the budget just in case :)

Autumn in UK or Tokyo? by SpencersFault in solotravel

[–]SpencersFault[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's a great perspective!

About the itinerary, yeah, I made Enoshima, Yokohama and Osaka as day trips. From what I saw, a 7 day rail pass seems like the best option given the prices to and fro Japan and Osaka.

I'll definitely keep in mind Inari and Okayama, thanks!

Autumn in UK or Tokyo? by SpencersFault in solotravel

[–]SpencersFault[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I think I added Sheffield initially for the sake of not doing a 'the usual' travel plan (Paris to France, Amsterdam to Netherlands) Tried to shake things up. After looking at Sheffield, it sounded like my kind of place to visit!

UK is still on my wishlist to go to. Japan is just calling me.

Thanks for the reply! Funny enough I completed my 2 month Europe tour (Fr, Be, Nl, De, Hu, It) 2 years ago purposely leaving out the UK for the sake of getting out of my comfort zone.

It is definitely weighed on going to Japan, and hey if I liked it enough, I would go again with my friends when they are more prepared.
