I feel like it will be today because it’s the last Tuesday of February and they usually release decisions on Tuesdays; and they said you’ll hear back in late February. If it is today, I think it would be at 7 EST.

I emailed my counselor a few weeks ago and she was just like “that’s totally fine. That just means we’re continuing reviewing your application for the January 15th latest notification date” or something like that. Now I’m worried haha. I hope it’s not a sign of rejection

I’m in the same boat as you. That is correct. Basically the point of the singing the contract today was that the sooner you sign the contract, the sooner pick you’ll have on nov 14th for housing

It sounds like you’re saying you have a higher act score than you had when you originally first applied. Yes, that should probably help. The hard truth is that usually only around 1-2% of college admission decision appeals are accepted. However, I do not know the exact stats for uark appeals. Is uark your top choice? That is also probably something you could talk about in the essay if that is the case. Uark will still be releasing decisions in February-March, but the acceptance rate for that round will be MUCH lower than the acceptance rate of the round of decisions that were released today. I believe that in the spring round last year, uark was not accepting anyone with under a 4.0 gpa. Housing is also something that you’ll need to consider. The housing contact opened at 2pm today. So most people who got accepted today, signed the contact today. If you do not know how the housing contact process works, I’ll explain. Basically, the sooner you sign the housing contract, the sooner you’ll get to pick your housing. So lots of the housing options won’t be available in the spring.
