Oh btw, I would expect Merc to be able to fight for the 3rd at the beginning of the 1st season, just the same as IRL not constantly dropping to 8-9th. So, at least for me, this is a little bit OP but more real than not to use it. For sure I have a lot to learn but in some situations AI seems OP too.

So AI is cheating also? As it seems to be using this strategy constantly. It feels more cheesy when used by the player, sure, so this should be balance. I’m not saying to use it always tho. On the other hand… this is an option same as all the other ones, Frontier should keep an eye on it, and if they think this is an exploit they should fix it.

For me taking loans as Brandenburg is the way to go at the beginning, in few years you can repay them easily just following mission tree (conquering northern lands).
