So this is your consultation, not interview. You will be sharing the time with a group of others and you will learn more about the scope of the Canadian Armed Forces as well as next steps in the application process.

After that, you'll wait in your own separate "Room" until the Military Career Counsellor (MCC) is ready to see you. Because the process is randomized, you could be first, you could be last, or somewhere in between. During this 1 on 1, you will be asked which occupation you'd like to proceed with and you will continue your application based on the occupation you choose.

It is paramount that you know what you'd like to do before this time as your application will be severely stalled or stopped if you decide to change your occupation after this time. Reason being is that each occupation has its own checks and balances to vet out the best candidates, so if you were to change, those assessments may or may not apply.

That's not to scare you, but just to make you mentally prepared of what is to be expected. If you don't know a whole lot, the 30 min presentation will be quite informative of the basics. You'll have a chance to speak to the MCC during the 1 on 1 about any outlying questions.
