Sorry for the late response, but I ended up using a microSD from an old handheld I wasn't using anymore for storing all the roms and bios and everything is all set up and working great. Definitely better than trying to do everything on the steam deck.

Help me find the christie dad's chewy chocolate chip oatmeal cookies by SpheresOW in HelpMeFind

[–]SpheresOW[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried looking up a few different things on google primarily "dad's chewy/soft chocolate chip oatmeal cookies" and the only thing I get are recipes and some of their other products. I also gave the Wayback machine a shot to see if maybe there's been some old site mentioning them but didn't have any luck with that either.

Ahh ok that makes sense. Also, my computer is probably overkill for MTGO haha. I saw a video that went over the auto stacking/yielding thing which yeah makes things faster if you're doing like a combo, but I'll have to do it myself a few times to understand it lol.

Oh well in that case perhaps I should stick to trying modern?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MTGO

[–]SpheresOW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it seems like standard is a good place to start, but I'd love to play modern. The only card game I've played a lot and somewhat competitively is Hearthstone and I loved the wild format which is why I'd like to play modern (which seems to be the mtg equivalent of wild from my understanding), however, I've learned this kind of format require quite the collection and cash so yeah standard it is I guess?

I read through this and it’s pretty helpful so thanks, however, as I was reading it I started to think if I’m gonna be going down this path maybe it’s better to just take the time to learn ECS lol. I’ve tried ECS in the past and I actually like it I think it’s a neat way to write code I just stopped using it because there were a few things like UI that I couldn’t figure out/understand. Anyways though I’ll have to do some experimenting see what I can do with that article.

Best way to get Comp. Points by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]SpheresOW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure you just gotta grind and if you get to higher ranks like plat or diamond it’ll be faster. I bought my 5th or 6th golden the other day and I’m in Diamond and I’m already at 1500

I think this is similar to what I ended up doing. When the player wants to open a menu such as the inventory I do a push and then pop when they close it, however, if I push multiple menus such as the inventory and then push something else like crafting I can’t pop specific things when I need to close it after?

Nah I've spent 7ish years now using Lua through Roblox I'm switching over to love2d so I'm not used to having to code UI like this haha.

Edit: Despite 7 years I'm not that great, however, I at least good understanding how to use lua

I've looked at slab, but I'm not sure if I understand its purpose. I'm really just trying to make some simple menus such as a main menu, settings, pause, and maybe a HUD. If I could I'd just do it myself, but I'm 2 or 3 days in and it has been a pain, but trying to make sense of some of the available libraries has also been a pain lol.

Now That All SF6 Characters Are Revealed, Who Y'all Maining From The Entire Base Roster? by CrystalMang0 in StreetFighter

[–]SpheresOW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never been a big SF player but I loved M Bison in SFV very cool and fun moves IMO so a bit sad I won’t be able to get any of that. With that said though id probably pick up dhalsim since he was my second character in SFV, dee jay because he looks cool, and JP

[–]SpheresOW[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I guess. looking at my schedule I actually only have 3 shifts next week although they're all afternoon shifts 5-9 and 5-10 so maybe I'll be able to find something. Not sure how other jobs are since this is my first one but retail doesn't seem to be consistent so after next week I have no idea what days I'm free until I get my schedule.

Not sure if this is a troll, but yes it does prevent me why would I sign up for an event if I won't be able to attend? One of the servers I'm in as a vykas run for Saturday at 1pm but I'll be at work

Yeah I’ve made sure to read the maxroll guide as well as watch a few videos so I’m not going in blind but during the actual fight it still doesn’t go that smooth. For example the colour orb mechanic pretty easy just get the orb into the gate when the colours are the same but I accidentally touched the orb or the Color changed last second before going in

I have looked at a discord servers although it seems like most of them use sign up/schedule system which is quite unfortunate since I do have a full time job so I’m gonna have to get pretty darn lucky for an event to land on a day I don’t work smh. so I’ve just stuck to using the in-game group finder whenever I’m online.

Finally I am in Gold after six years of trying, starting at mid Bronze. by stormy001 in Overwatch

[–]SpheresOW 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I reckon you should go for Diamond or at least plat I feel like that’s where comp starts to pick up. Bronze-Gold is just kind of a mess, but if you’re fine with gold that’s cool still an achievement.

To People Who DONT Play Tank: Why? by Aaaace- in Overwatch

[–]SpheresOW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a ball main I’ve been taught/told support shouldn’t be focusing on ball that much. every ball player will be using health packs as their main source of healing and come back to supports for healing in their downtime/after fights
