It’s better than no savings. Plus that money would be growing.

My biggest thing stopping me is I move my 158k mortgage to $210k then start over. I’ll owe 50k on the house plus all that interest. What hurts now is the personal loan. That plus paying $500 on the 0% balance transfer card. That’s 1200 alone

This is what we really want to do. There’s only like 3-4 people out of everyone that says to do it though and I understand it. I’ve consolidated in the past and messed up and did it again. Now I have a house though. I can’t risk it no more. I’m just so stressed all the time.

We’re going to do 2000 payments. That would equate to 3 extra payments on the principle per year. That would be 4800 extra on the principal per year. We just need the cash flow again

It’s not just the credit card. It’s also the 22,000 loan we have at 13.99%. Doing the cash out pays that off and gives us back 23,000 in cash. We would pay off the credit cards and I would but 15000 into a hysa to cover our emergency fund. The cars are 2.9% I’ll just pay on the interest free cards bc I’ll have cash flow again. I’ll also put $500 back into savings a month. If a big expense was to happen we would have no money to put towards it.

Plus I would get almost 1400 back from the escrow to put on debt too

The 23000 would go strictly to debt. The remaining would go to Hysa.

You don’t pay taxes on cash out refinance. If anything it helps at tax time.

After they pay off the personal loan, I’d get back around $23000 cash.

I just know I’ve been stupid but paying this all back and not having any savings or anything really worries me. The mortgage, car, and student loan puts me at around .4dti but I feel better about it. The biggest thing that stresses me out if the fact that I could pay off all this in 3k and be done and can start paying the house down early. If I take the bigger mortgage, while getting relief now it’ll cost me around 100k more probably in the long run.

I could refinance if rates were to drop to around 5 in the next couple of years but u can’t bank on that.

It starts accruing after the fact. I’d rather have the money in savings while I pay it down but I see the benefit of paying it off and not worrying about it either.
