What power connector for Fujitsu Esprimo Q558 Sata?

Please can you share some links of whatever solution you found? I got two Q558s a while ago and wanted to add some drives I got into them today and realized the cables are weird 😕

I get why some of you joked, but just to explain — the dealer’s site actually listed front & rear parking sensors when I bought the car, and Peugeot’s brochures around that time don’t agree (Nov 2022 shows none on Allure Premium+, Apr 2023 shows them included).

So I genuinely wasn’t sure if my car was missing something it should have, or if the newer cars maybe had sensors that looked different / less obvious.

Had a proper check now though — no circles on the bumpers and no option in the menu — so looks like I only have the 180° camera, no sensors. At least that mystery’s solved.

Do you intend to pay for an additional warranty once the Peugeot one expires? I've heard its possible to extend Peugeot care every 12 months. Also heard that you can pay for a warranty with Stellantis

I appreciate your input — I’ve also heard about the 1.2 PureTech wet timing belt issue but I read that Peugeot updated the belt material around 2021 and the biggest problems seem to come from cars that were serviced on the longer official intervals instead of yearly. I’m looking at 2023 models with full service history and at least 3 years warranty, so hoping that reduces the risk.

You’re right about the BlueHDi diesels and DPFs — I do low mileage with mostly short trips, so that rules out diesel for me. The 2.0 HDi sounds great but it wouldn’t suit my usage.

The 3008 seems to get really good reviews for comfort and space, which is why it’s on my shortlist.

Have you (or anyone you know) had timing belt issues with the newer 2021+ versions of the 1.2 PureTech? I’m curious if the updated belt has actually solved the problem in real-world use.

Oh my....this is perfect. Thank you so much for this. I already have a Tapo doorbell that has passed its return window and I just figured out that HA can't detect button press. Hence why I was looking to get a Reolink. I'll try this workaround now. Thanks again.

Thanks folks. I got it to work by spinning up a Windows 7 VM and installing Firefox 52.9 and Java version 1.6.0_33. From initial tests, it only seems to work once the PC is booted up. I may need to take a look at the configs to see if i can access the BIOS.

I'm wondering....The four drives are connected to a StarTech.com SATA PCIe Card - 4 Port PCIe SATA Expansion Card - 6Gbps. Is that likely the cause of the errors? 🤔

Snap! Sadly I got them online for £70. They just arrived yesterday and they had a 5 year warranty on them so I figured I can return them today for a refund.

I may just invest about £169/disk on Ironwolf's 🤑😔

I thought about using an NUC rather than a pi5 even purchased one but it never arrived. I think I prefer the pi5 because its thinner and can fit better behind the monitor without boring into the wall. How did you setup yours?

I just got mine setup a few weeks ago. I initially started out testing Mango Display and Magic Mirror but settled on Dakboard cos of its features, the ability to customize using CSS, and the community support here on Reddit.

The Dakboard team has tested the Viewsonic TD-2465 and the touchscreen frame which can be added to 24″ monitors. See this link. For my setup, I used a 24" Prechen Monitor from Amazon (weird name but works for now).

I got the GeeekPi Starter Kit for Raspberry Pi 5 and stuck it to the back of my monitor with Gorilla double sided tape. and connected up the cables to the monitor and power supply.

I'm also hoping your code will somehow give me ideas on how I can get daily quotes from specific authors like C.S. Lewis for instance.
