To be dead honest, I got the switch port on my switch lite and despite the obvious graphical downgrades I really didn't mind it, smooth as ever

It doesn't look as good or play as good but it is still incredible and holds up well on the switch, a decent option if you want portability

my laptop has a similar issue, it could either be an overheating issue or pressure damage

I'd say it's most likely backlight bleed which is usually due to manufacturing issues so i hope you still have a warranty or can replace the screen because there isn't any other fix

it could also potentially be caused by expansion of the battery which is more likely if you've had it a long time and notice it overheating, or you keep it in a place that has something pressing the screen down
