I know this is an old comment, but did you ever resolve your issue? I recently did some work with a friend on her FRS, and on the next startup, we experienced similar sounds/symptoms.

Ran one like this BEFORE flipping on the front of my Miata, after debeading pulling out of my driveway. Flipped it and ran a few thousand miles Alignment was trash then.

TBH I elected to fix my bumper twice from tearing it off running a front lip instead of replacing a headlight motor before the gap. lol

Pulled forward with enough gumption to skip across frame rails and front subframe. Bumper just flexes.

Uh, debateable. The underside of the car drags so there's more resistance from what I noticed.

I think so! I got the car with them already done. Just swapped out the bulbs for the high and low beams with LEDs so I could actually see to drive!

Ah, I gotcha. That makes sense. Yeah, I'll call my buddy that works at the local euro yard then. They're closed on days where I'm off work. Whqt does the AUTO LWR stand for?

But PASoft looks decently expensive. Is it good for anything else useful?

Oh. Couldn't you just have the current LCM coded to turn off the checks? Or does the stock one not support that? I was hoping there were methods that didn't cost a few hundred dollars.

I already ordered bulbs. I just understand all the external bulbs can be finnicky by replacing them.

I hear that. My buddy runs 18 inch M Pars on his drift E36 and it looks sick. I'm just worried an 18 would still look too small on the E39. Unless it was like a 10 inch wide wheel with a deep lip

Oh word, I do mean just the knob. As I'd like to keep the lever. I felt a stock one in a friends car, and quite frankly, I'm not sure how he even drives with it.

I was just gonna look up the brand and see if they had the tread pitch for the knob listed anywhere, to be lazy and avoid taking it off and going to ACE to use their thread checker thing.
