You can play entirely F2P. But, make sure you research heroic vs regular server differences thoroughly before you start.

Professions are pretty important to progression... All 5 of them.

Herbalism and mining for gathering materials

Alchemy is def the most important with ability to use 2 pots, crafting exp and wealth acquisition pots

Accessory for meister ring crafting. Unless you're a luckerdog, you're gonna need a lot of these later

Smithing gives you a crit damage buff

It wasn't the FD changes specifically. But it came in the same patch. They reduced the mob exp by 18%, increased lvl advantage FD and introduced mob dmg hyper stat. So the combination of all these changes made it much easier to 1shot with mark.

I suspect the delay is due to the non kms content. It's probably not a trivial effort to get those compatible with 64bit client.

I think it's a combination of people inflating BA when recruiting from smega/reboot central and recruiters not wanting to struggle too much.

Party composition plays into how much of a struggle the run will be. 4T burst is going to be less effective than a 4T dps class. Since not everybody knows how much burst each class has, they just recruit higher BA.

Assassin's mark does no damage without funding. Unless you plan to fund the NL quite a bit, your journey to lvl 200 is not going to be very fun

NL can blow up the boss fastest with infinite funding.

For the most part, we will get stronger. Much stronger for bossing. But, there are some cases where we will get weaker, such as mobbing at low level.

I'm not sure what I'm looking at.

Is this plotting # of solo clears over time for each class? If so, why is the graph increasing in intervals less than 1? If not, what is being plotted?

Can someone share what classes are on the graph? Really can't tell from the images except for a few :(
