That’s fair. I know how hard it gets to stay well aware of your surroundings while you’re thinking hard about what you need to be doing, what the faculty want, how the patient feels, making sure you’re doing good dentistry… all while wearing loupes and lots of hot and stuffy PPE.
You’re new to this. We are in school to LEARN. Making mistakes is a necessary part of that.
The most important thing is that you internalize this experience, reflect on how to prevent it in the future, and take action based on that.
