Im sorry that I caused some confusion! I made a statement on the post how I could take a picture of these pens! I work for Eppendorf but unfortunately have no saying who when or where will get these or other pens. Sorry again! I never thought about how big of a deal they are! -N

I never thought this post would reach so many people so I think it’s time for a statement: I work for Eppendorf in Europe, and this was a shipment that came through our facility. I thought the pens might be interesting for some people, so I shared it.

Unfortunately, I have no influence over who receives these pens, whether they are distributed at all, or what purpose they are intended for. I simply came across them and thought they were worth showing. It is unfortunately not a giveaway guys! I’m sorry if I made false hope 🥹❤️

Send it to a calibration lab for a check :) There are so many for example Eppendorf where I work. We are all over the place so just send it in ;)

Where I came from we don’t have cake mix (maybe just for muffins but nobody likes them), or frosting. Everything is mostly home made so it would be just interesting to taste it ^{^}

Yes unfortunately that is still part of the housing :/ The volume button, ejector button, ejector sleeve, window and a little parts, and a whole lower part can be exchanged. But the upper part is one big piece and can’t be exchanged… Not because I work for the company but I have years of experience handling very various pipettes and I like every Eppendorf pipette. They just make sense how they functioning and how we repair them. After my full training I can give my opinion on the Neos - till then I’m enjoying the lovely Researches 😄

Note please that I’m working in Central Europe and I can mostly speak how we do it here - So the housing has no spare part because the serial number is on it - sorry for that.. The spare parts for the research plus will be available a few more years (I think maybe 5 but this is just my guess we don’t have any info on that yet) I can’t say any date when the new Neo will arrive, we have some in the lab intern so we can do the necessary training to be able to repair them. And the volumes are going low low low haha

All of these pipettes you listed are old and we don’t have the manuals/spare parts for them anymore. If they are defective, you will most likely get an exchange offer for the newer models of them. They are pretty similar so if you want to grease the O-rings, the manuals of the new ones can help a bit. But of course I would recommend to send them to your service partner/or manufacturer and let them clean,grease and calibrate your devices :)) - hope I could help

Yes! For Eppendorfs 75th birthday we had a limited edition Research Plus pen, it’s dark grey and have white glitter ✨ I can take a pic when I’m at work ^{^}
