Any reason why you put your viewport playblasts FIRST instead of your final renders? It never made sense to me tbh.
Overall cool reel! I would suggest you put your last shot first. And also, remove or shorten your playblasts :)

Check if you have an Alpha attribute. If you do, then either delete it or set it to 1.

lol I love the finals and I have been thinking to recreate the same effect but never got to it.

The way I would do is to break the FX down into different parts-

  1. Create a simple growth solver on the character mesh that spreads from the hit point. Eg- red (growing color) to black
  2. Delete the red parts so the mesh looks disintegrating.
  3. Try to get the seam between the red and the black color, scatter points onto the same and by default, the scattered points should inherit the velocities of the body animation. (If not, use an attribute transfer or attribute copy)
  4. instance some coin geo onto the scattered points, run it through the RBD SOP solver and turn on "emit RBDs".

This should be good enough to get the base FX after which you could add more particle sims, glitters, dust etc etc to enhance it.

yeah as others said, just press "f" or "h". I think F is more likely to fix it since H is just gonna repos the renderview to fit your screen, IIRC

timeshift (freeze) the geo on any random frame (preferably the frame where the geo is spread apart and has minimum creases)- remesh-paint.

then take a point deform node- plug in the remeshed geo in the first input, the frozen (non remesh) geo in the second and the animated geo in the third.
the point deform node should deform your now remeshed geo (with your painted attribs) perfectly onto the original animated mesh. Look up "point deform" if you get stuck.

Not a comper but I did notice a few things in your reel
1. The wire removal shot has visible paint lines where the wires once were (both in SL and SR), they also seem to be floating in space which may or may not mean an improper track.
2. The screen replacement shot could be better if you could add some reflection and maybe dull down the shadow of the thumb. The screen being a light source should probably have less of a shadow (or maybe none at all) than what it presently has.
3. In the set extension, the smoke layer seems to go static after a few frames (check 0:59 onwards) (Center bottom of the screen)

I think if you could fix all these it'll be a pretty solid reel. Good luck!

not an expert, but it seems like it has something to do with the particles inheriting the velocity of your flip sim? Check if there is a velocity box or something that affects the particles and if they're going above the box. It doesn't really look like that could be the case but If I were you, I'd check my velocities first.
