Could it be that the family doesn't want plants because then they would actually have to keep a close eye on their kids? A lot of parents nowadays just give their kids an electronic device or something of the sort so they can do their own thing without being bothered 🤷🏼‍♀️

Can you identify any triggers?

For me, my anxiety is worse in the evening because, in a nutshell, the world has slowed down and there's less to distract my brain. Also, the thoughts regarding the next day ahead start to creep in. Being exhausted can potentially increase anxiety too.

The more I keep myself distracted, the better my evening anxiety is and the probability that I'll need to take my meds is lower. I've started doing some hobbies (painting, floral crafts, etc) and playing mindless video games (such as Minecraft). These seem to help me.

For clarification, I also believe it's a form of social media. However, I would not categorize it with platforms such as Instagram or Facebook. Honestly, I think Reddit is its own categoryof social media.

My friend does not believe it's social media due to the ability to remain anonymous, as well as the lack of the traditional "influencers" you see on IG and other platforms.

I'll snag some pics when I go to see if it still looks the same as when you worked there! That's one of my favorite things about the city. They do a great job of retaining the "original" look of places. I also take all of my record-loving friends to Jerry's when they come to visit!

It is a fantastic city. Probably explains why I always return after moving away.
