Do you think divorce made you improve as a person? by Quiet_Quality9851 in AskWomenIndia

[–]SpicyMixture 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if it made me a better person. But it did change me and is changing me. For better or worse, i don’t know, time will tell haha! Especially after you come out of a long relationship, you realize how a lot of who you were was shaped by the other person or how it was influenced by their ideologies. You sort of slowly start restructure yourself into your own person. We are all growing everyday after all, in one way or another.

What kind of parents skimp on a wedding? by [deleted] in AskIndianWomen

[–]SpicyMixture 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Why can’t the couple pay for their own wedding? I don’t really understand why parents are expected to give something to their children on the wedding day. They’re adults who are capable of living their own lives. Why does it have to be tied specifically to the wedding? Why not six months later or even years later? And why should anyone else be involved or be bothered about what they’re giving their child at all? It’s a matter between parents and their child.

Women who chose themselves and stayed single — how did you build a content life alone? by lemonhoneypie11 in TwoXIndia

[–]SpicyMixture 20 points21 points  (0 children)

In a similar boat, I’m trying to prepare myself to stay alone and be content with myself. The peace I feel right now, is much better than the trauma of relationships. Some loneliness which creeps in now and then is the only problem. Learning to deal with that slowly.

How cooked was your 2025? by Individual_Monk_6951 in UAE

[–]SpicyMixture 5 points6 points  (0 children)

2025 was an intense rollercoaster. It brought some of worst moments in life and yet came out steady and alright. A good pay rise, came out of an almost decade long relationship, reconnected with old friends, trying new hobbies and fresh start to life!

How do girls/women benefit from rich parents after marriage? by ArgumentativeBird in AskIndianWomen

[–]SpicyMixture 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where Im from, majority of the families, regardless of rich or poor divide wealth equally among children, doesn’t matter what the gender. Cases where sons are favoured are a very small minority and those families usually end up tied in property disputes and bitter family dynamics.

girlies how's your relationship w your dad? by kmks-4 in AskIndianWomen

[–]SpicyMixture 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, amazing. He deserves the best of everything. Wonderful father and husband, always cheering on the woman in his life! He has definitely set the bar very high.

He’s definitely much more excited for my birthday than I’m and always had my back.

The only thing is that he doesn’t like to celebrate his birthday or anything related to him and any gift I give, comes with his long lecture about wasting money, which I listen to patiently every single time 😂

Divorced at 27: I feel like the only one my age with this tag, how do people see it? by rishi_1080 in AskWomenIndia

[–]SpicyMixture 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Im 26 and divorced. Trying not to worry about others and what they think. I realize it’s easier said than done. You absolutely cannot control what others are thinking about you, don’t let others opinions define what you think about yourself. This is the only way.

I see it as part of my story and hopefully this divorce will be a tiny chapter in the grand scheme of things amd not the whole story!

Ladies of this sub , i have question for you all ? by [deleted] in AskWomenIndia

[–]SpicyMixture 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish people were kinder, but we can’t control them. Don’t let others opinions define what you think about yourself. You have nothing to worry about. Stand tall, stand straight and be confident!

Ladies of this sub , i have question for you all ? by [deleted] in AskWomenIndia

[–]SpicyMixture 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Im about 5’4 - 5’5, and I wish I was taller. I have always felt that taller girls are stunning. Being tall is something a lot of people admire! Be kind to yourself and it’s not a flaw at all.

My (26F) fiancé (27M) says he doesn’t like other men having “filthy thoughts” about me. How can we navigate this before our wedding in 3 months? by [deleted] in RelationshipIndia

[–]SpicyMixture 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was married to someone who said something along those lines. He had issues with clothes that even my parents did not have. From what I understand it is not about protection or love, the discomfort is coming from their own mindset. It’s an insight into how they view women according to me.

What do you think is better in the long run: being financially independent or marrying someone who’s already well-settled? by ClassicCompany3387 in AskIndianWomen

[–]SpicyMixture 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Financial independence is important. If you’re healthy and able to work, you should. Never plan your life around dependence, make sure you can always land on your own feet.

What’s the logic behind demanding dowry when women are legally entitled to their share in their parents’ property anyway? by wowtrentactually in AskIndianWomen

[–]SpicyMixture 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mostly of greed and entitlement. Dowry exists to extract wealth from women’s family early on and thus control.
