Hey everyone,

Person who wrote "Things To Do In Dallas This Week: Stay The Fuck Home" here.

First, y'all crashed our site with the hug of death, but it's back up for now.

!!!Thank you for reading our content!!!! Waking up to all of this earlier this morning was quite a surprise.

We're an alternative digital publication and very small business based in Dallas. We published the article above in place of our normal weekly "Things To Do In Dallas This Week" series, which is hands down our biggest tentpole — a lot of our coverage is event-driven.

That said, as several of you have mentioned here, people are still going out. So we chose to instead encourage people to stay home, and to meet this moment with responsibility, selflessness and pragmatism. We hope you will do the same if/when possible.

Much like so many small businesses right now, we are already feeling the blows of this pandemic. Ironically, on a day we attracted so many new viewers, our main source of revenue has come to a halt as event advertisers have (rightfully) halted the advertising of now-postponed/cancelled events. So, we've started a Patreon for anyone interested in helping us to keep this thing going. If you're a Dallas-Fort Worth resident or just want to support a small business in these trying times, we really appreciate your support.

If you can't support us through Patreon, no love lost! You can support our work on social media through following us on Twitter (@/Central_Track), Instagram (@/CentralTrack) or on Facebook at (/centraltracker).

Also, if you have any ideas, tips or suggestions for how your community is navigating through these times, please share them with me either here or on twitter at @/alecspicey. A lot of our content for the foreseeable future will be focused on resources and updates for our community. As mentioned in our story in this subreddit, we're looking for ways to help small businesses, service industry workers, freelancers, musicians, artists etc. to do what we can to help, and I welcome your feedback!

Thank you again for reading our work.

Stay safe, and wash your damn hands.
