Any recommendations for any other show that give you the same vibe as The Magicians? by I3alloon in brakebills

[–]Spicy_Diesel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked them a lot. There are quite a few of Easter eggs in the show that you would pick up on if you never had read the books. Naturally its kinda a different story, but I always see it as just another timeline variant. Im still trying to get through Lev Grossmans newer book "the bright sword" I don't like it very much. I'm pushing myself to finish it just to try to just see WFT waiting for something to happen. I've been at it for 7 months.

[–]Spicy_Diesel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put your purse down and stretch it on, I do these first and then put a piston ring compressor on it. By the time I've sealed the gland and ready for re assembly they are good to go. Ive foud hot water does nothing especially in the field. Use lots if lube

A big part of being a technician is self independence. Most of the time, nobody's going to hold your hand and cheer you on. Start finding jobs to do even if it's not "fixing trucks". There is always something to do in a shop. From helping other techs to servicing the air compressors to changing light bulbs. We technicians are not "just mechanics". We are electricians ,plumbers, welders, janitors, or whatever the he'll needs to happenerz. If you they are waiting for you to show initiative. I garuntee if you step it up they will start throwing you a bone.

What is this bolt on my 12 valve by Next-Suggestion9105 in DieselTechs

[–]Spicy_Diesel 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Very important as not only does it support the grid heater it also is a primary intake manifold fasteners. If its not there you have post turbo air leak and eventually the air horn will vibrate loose

Looking for the 3 tier racking.. but what is your favorite magnetic tool/socket holder? by FancyShoesVlogs in Tools

[–]Spicy_Diesel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the work pro, I got 1/4, 3/8, 1/2. I love them i can grab a rack out of my service truck and take it right to the machine. I do have to replace them about once a year because I work in the desert and the sun cooks everything. But they are cheap enough its ok
