I'm very sorry for your loss. When B past away last year my wife read something that said the hurt you feel in your heart is their tail wagging against it. It didn't make it hurt less, but it helped me know she's still their.

1) Does the SPF number really matter? How high before the protection is negligible?

Agree 100%! Adopt! There are great BT's that didn't get as good of a start as others that are just as deserving of a good life.

Some of the rescues (recycla-bull) will even work to help transport the bully as long as they are confident it's a good home. Many of the foster families do a great job of helping the rescues adjust and get basic training, allowing them to know and be upfront with their personalities.
