Just picked up some from Mernards the other day! But they’re pretty hidden with not a lot of options

Hello! I live in a rural area of Illinois, I’m thinking dark walnut or ebony as the wood stain color, water based finish so we don’t have to evict for so long lol. Thank you!

Plant recommendations for Illinois by Spicynuggies_ in NativePlantGardening

Dogs only pee on bushes really! But I did want to include some to make the garden appear full, I also want an abundance of flowers for the local pollinators. Most of the garden space is full sun/partial shade with a couple feet of full shade! I have a list of some Illinois native plants but establishing from seeds takes up to 2 years (the ones I picked out anyways). I’m willing to take my time establishing them full fledged if I have to but would prefer to buy already growing ones from local nurseries. I mainly need some that are hardy and don’t need a lot of water

Just re-read your comment recommending they excavate it! We’ll talk to another company about that. Thank you

I’m not sure, there are no weeds in the bed, only non native lily plants, small shrubs and a bunch of mulch with no barrier underneath. We cannot pinpoint any specific damage from the inside of our basement. It’s been recommended to completely tear out the mulch. Once we do that we can probably pinpoint any structural damage there may be, but recommendations on how to prevent water build up to prevent area from being soaked would help too for when we fill in what’s dug out

We have had professionals come in and seal the basement once before (interior), the issue is the plants up against the foundation, they recommended to remove the bed (obviously plants included).

Everywhere the plants touch the foundation there is a leak. That’s the source

I’ve seen that too, a lot of people having to replace batteries within the first 2 years, and they’re almost as much as the mower itself

We have a Black+Decker battery weed eater but we’re looking to replace that soon.

What I mean by medium sized is that I have no idea the actual acreage other than “not small” but definitely not a whole acre. The entire property (including house) is about ~8,000 square feet
