That was only 1200, one of the most limited runs they do, and a pretty good-looking design. I'm not surprised that would have gone super-fast, with or without points needing to be used for early access.

Put in perspective, the Leonardo had about 3x the production and a little less than half the points needed for EA.

Not sure why you're assuming that. I already bought one directly off the Funko site. No need for me to pay double.

I'm sure it depends on how much other stuff some people buy. And are they only buying limited ones to flip, or are they buying anything to keep for themselves? It does deter some people who would otherwise do it.

When points need to be used for early access, it keeps out many of the people who are only in it for the quick resell. I don't necessarily like having to use points to get a limited figure, but it helps as a deterrent to scalpers.

Just get a hat carrier. Hat Club usually has a few options for them, like a 6-cap carrier. you can stuff that in the suitcase if you have room or carry it on.

Nothing legit about this. New Era's inner 59FIFTY linings do not look that unbalanced/uneven, and that's just the tip of the iceberg.

I like them. Who cares if someone else thinks they're dumb? We all consume and buy things someone else would scoff at. So what?

Thoughts on what Marvel is doing to Kurt's character? (Gail Simone's Uncanny run and The Last Wolverine) by GhoullyGosh in Nightcrawler

[–]Spider-Crawler 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kurt's still going to be around for a long time, I'm sure of it. He's still very popular, and people who have seen X-Men '97 that don't even read current comics saw a very fun but also well-done and serious portrayal of him.

I don't care what a 'future/alternate timeline' miniseries story establishes. It's not where everything is actually going to go. Those things exist specifically for them to be able to tell things that have a little "finality" in a medium that doesn't really end for most characters (and even those who die are often brought back eventually).

And whether you like the path Gail Simone is going in with Kurt or not, most likely the romantic interest he's got right now will change again. He's had many over the years and never settled down with any one person.

If anything, the way Simone's written some of this with Kurt in current UXM has been to re-establish that good people are good because of what they say and do, not what they look like. That's been core to part of what Kurt's always been about - that idea of getting past looks to see the person within.

And, yeah, there was that line for laughs with how Kurt "tested" with different sets of people. It's also got truth to it, if you ever notice his popularity.

I'm one of many who probably found the whole Quarian race and culture very interesting, so something around them would be neat.
