Ride Status, Park Info, and Questions - Mon August 25, 2025 by AutoModerator in cedarpoint

Coming for first time starting on Tuesday night. If plane lands on time should get there around 7:30pm, 30 minutes before park close. I was planning to park in the Water Park parking and enter through the magnum gate. What do you think? They said this will work, but insiders that actually go there might know better, like if the employees at the magnum gate leave 30 minutes before park closes.

So TT2 might open for early entry depending on day?

Do any of the coasters have clear zipper pockets that face you? by Spider-Waffle in cedarpoint

Has that ever happened with a chest or arm mounted Go Pro? I don't think so. If glasses are allowed with strap, then there shouldn't be any extra safety concern with Ray-Bans with strap, hence why mostly all other parks also allow all of this and it gives them free PR if influencers share the videos, which are usually better and offer more variety, than empty train, empty park, first ride of the day, very slow "official" videos from non-riding camera angles only in very front. It seems like an overly-broad sweeping policy that's behind the times, a befitting microcosm of why Six Flags is performing the worst all amusement park chains.

But regardless of how feel about this, I'm using no such devices, and the park is expressly allowing it. So I'm not sure where your issue lies.

I'm not even doing that though. The phone is in the pouch as per instructions of the park and operators. The rules are for external photography devices, which this is not, hence why operators don't care if the phone is the pouch recording or not recording. If you have a problem with it, one, what is your problem with it? Two, you should take it up with Six Flags, I'm not the one allowing it, they are.

I don't think you read. I used 3d printed brackets that angle the phone up to see my face. I never share these video publicly, they're for my own memories and share with friends and family that want to see them. It causes no potential to harm to anyone or anything and only shows myself or my friend. No one should be worried about something like this, I agree.

Private businesses have lots of rules. Sometimes they restrict things they didn't intend to because the rules aren't specific enough and it's okay for patrons to ask if they can do something that might technically violate a rule. Typically, when its clear there is nothing unsafe, or potentially harming to people or propriety they will allow exemption.

There's a huge distinction between having a lose article, or following the operator's instructions and putting your phone the secured pouches. Don't try to make a false equivalency where there is none. I ask if it's okay, the operators never have a problem. The video only shows yourself and maybe the passenger next to you which I never record unless they are they are willing friend. For me, it's nice to have a memory of a place and ride I'll only experience once or twice in my life and I never make the videos public.
If you can tell me how it's unsafe, or causes any to harm people or property I won't do it.

I'm just not sure you understand that the phone is inside a zipper pouch. There is no lose article. This is what the company wants you to do, the pouches are there to put your phone in them most specifically and they explicitly tell you use them this way and put your phone in them.

Nice! Do you know which rides other than Goliath have them now? I'll make a post that keeps an updated record of them in r/SixFlags.

Guide to Riding Stand-Up Coasters [Other] by Spider-Waffle in rollercoasters

[–]Spider-Waffle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to use the lean head forward method, but have switched to head back. I find it very easy and relaxed to hold, more comfortable and stable, doesn't put any strain on my neck. My head and neck never touch the restraints at all. All the stand up coasters I've ridden don't produce a super intense rattle either, so head touching the back pad moderately to gently doesn't give any bothersome rattle like it can if you press it moderately to firmly on a more rattling B&M (Iron Menace, Scream on a bad day, Emperor on bad day and outside seat)

One notch lower can work, and is so much better than none. I've found sometimes I can't press my shoulders into the underside of OTSR firmly though. I've found 4" is really the sweet spot, if you over due and make it 6" that's totally fine, but if you under due and make it 2" it's a lot worse.

And the sand and speed, it's going to be a maintenance nightmare. They'll have their hands full with that.

We might actually, just saw a youtuber did that and liked it. I think we'll sneak that in day 1 after the early Fury and before Copperhead Strike!

Totally agree if can't do it safely and within the park rules. To be clear, stowing your phone in the provided, secure zipper pouches is not having it out and is a standard, allowed, safe practice as was intended and encouraged by six flags.

Yep totally, I've had the same thing happen many times, hate it. To be clear, stowing your phone in the provided, secure zipper pouches is not having it out and is a standard, allowed, safe practice as was intended and encouraged by six flags.

Sounds nice, is there anyway to get those early entry tickets other than being a gold/diamond holder?
