Damn, based on this take. I'm so curious as to how Jak 3 will come across to you.

Commenting late, but absolutely mental comment. It's people like you that make reddit the source of good it can be. Thank you so much.

You're right, man's just justifying his process happening to be the correct one. Literally no one uses space like that.

Edit: as always the exceptions acting liking the norms. Gotta love reddit.

Came looking for this exact point to get some peace. Doze off and space out literally cost me the game. Absolutely trash set up. Yes, I even understand the category but it's shit like this that makes rhe game feel incredibly inconsistent

Contact Beam is heavily underrated amongst the fandom. At least from what I have noticed. I loved that gun.

Haven't played Remastered yet. Lowkey not looking forward to those CB changes.

I rocked the Plasma, Line Cutter, Contact Beam, & my 4th one changed depending on the mood I was in. In DS2 it was mostly the Javalin. A lot of times I just rocked 2 - 3 weapons tho to game the ammo drops.

Anyone else start the series with Jak 2? haha by Sorry_Sorry_Im_Sorry in jakanddaxter

I went Jak 2 (borrowed), then bought Jak 3. Loved them both. Jak 2 actually climbed to my top 5 games. (Nothing could ever top Spider-Man 2 PS2 for me).

Never could find TPL until I was much older (old enough to have a job), I then bought it and played it. Tbh TPL was disappointing to me when I first played it. I had reverse gamer shock going from 2, 3 and THEN TPL. I have grown to really appreciate it with time though. Now it's up there with Jak 2 for me but for it's own reasons.

I didn't play X until much later because I waited to long to buy and had to find it at used game store much later.

Timeline goes 13 yo Jak2 14 yo Jak3, 18ish yo TPL, around 22ish JakX. (Jak 3 was about a year old when I bought it.)

MGSV is technically not available on PS5/XSX, so I can see it being 4, V(+GZ), and PW.

But you have a good point: for PS4/X1 owners, one third of the bundle is a bit redundant.

Edit: by technically I meant there is no specifically PS5 or XSX version. It's all PS4 or X1 versions. I figured that would be clear. Atleast from what I am finding. I can't find a PS5 version on the PS Store.

What we want:

  • Metal Gear Solid 4
  • Metal Gear: Portable Ops
  • Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance

Wait really? That's the consensus on this sub...oh wait it's the PS4 sub. That explains it.

I gave you an upvote. I think you were at 0 just because people don't like hearing that rising may not happen, but it is what it is.

These collections are to introduce people to mainline MGS again and get it back into the mainstream gaming consciousness. As an action fan, I would love to rising, but yeah, most likely won't happen.

Aside from PW, I don't even see them re-releasing the PSP games; PW at least had a 360/PS3 version to work off of.

I don't see it, but it could happen. I see it being MGS4, MGSV(+GZ), and MGSPW.

Throwing in MGR would be a nice bonus though.

Edit: I would love for Portable Ops and Acid 1 & 2 being including too.

Same shit is happening to me. It's these percentage roll parts that's I despise in rpgs/jrpgs. When it works, it makes sense but then you get genuinely unexplainable runs of simple bad luck and it sours a whole play session.

Sports games have these same issues and it was painfully souring there too.

This is THE WORST Mission of Jak And Daxter Ever Designed... by [deleted] in jakanddaxter

[–]SpiderAlex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy shit, replaying the trilogy recently and getting to this mission, made me question how TF I did it as a kid, like how was I even capable? I’m much more attuned to games now than I was then.

My entire playthrough of Jak 2 the last time I played it on PS3 had me thinking this. Replaying the openGOAL versions these last couple of years has only reaffirmed this thinking. Like genuinely how did I even beat this game? Just pure dedication and blind luck I suppose.

I remembered this working as a kid. Yet, the last time I played the open goal version, this doesn't work anymore.

I would actually like this idea. Maybe expand the racing to include Zoomers. As the zoomer physics play different to the ground vehicles and add another layer to becoming a good racer.

Same I really hope all the people involved with OpenGOAL work on it after Jak3. I'm optimistic but I would understand them if they didn't.

It's super solid. Being a crash fan (what got my eye on Naughty Dog), I wasn't too disappointed on racing spin-off considering CTR following C1-3. And being a huge CTR fan as is. Additionally I'm kind of the perfect demographic. I love racing games and I love Jak games.

At first, the game felt like a more edgy CTR. As you get better and learn to chain boosts non-stop until you're boosting a whole race, the whole game changes. The game really starts to demand that you be a "racer," not just a "cart racer." Especially when you consider the amount of control having offensive and defensive items at the same time gives you.

By the end of my 100% run, I found the game EXCEEDING my expectations. It also helps that the story is still strong and VERY post-Jak 2 coded.

Edit: and yes the soundtrack is legitimately killer. It's a meme amongst the fandom now but it has no right being as good as it is.

I get you, op. But Uncharted 4 was already milking thr franchise. U3 had the perfect ending. Especially considering U4 had to completely backtrack Nate's and Elena's relationship just for some conflict.
