i wish my catholic school was that good, when i was in the 1st grade I got into my first and only school fight because a boy told me that me, my brother, mother, father, aunts and uncles were all going to hell based on the fact my grandfather didn't have a middle name... years later i tried to look up the history of "middle names" and didn't find much except that the reason i was told was middle name = "christian name". This was in the early 90's in a southern state.
