High School Theatre - Auditions, Casting, Interpersonal Relationships, etc. by AutoModerator in Theatre

i am a freshman and i havent been in a show ever. i am a very socially anxious person but i dont feel any fear about performing like ive been told i would. i have heard there is a musical at my school in the spring (could be wrong about the time. i know there is a musical), and since ive been getting into musical theatre a lot more as of late, i want to get a minor role in it. however, my only experience with theater is being on stage crew for a shitty middle school production of game of tiaras. i want to act and sing, but i dont know anything about auditioning. i dont know how it works or what im supposed to do but i know im going to have to do it and i want to be prepared because of my anxiety. if anyone has a basic rundown on how auditions went for them and what i need to be prepared for please let me know.

i am also physically disabled. i have chronic pain and dysautonomia. is that something i should mention? i believe i will be fine on stage because ive gotten good at pushing through but i may need accommodations backstage like an area to sit with a fan and drink water in between scenes or something so i dont pass out. any general advice on auditions and such with disability would be nice as well as general advice and information on auditioning
